  1. I would highly recommend that’s entertainment in liverpool! The staff are lovely and I’ve never had a problem with them 😊
  2. Im thinking that as a student accommodation supplier then the company will allocate your son a room and he will be sharing a flat with other students. It will work in the same way that universities allocate rooms/ flats for their university students but as a private accommodation provider, it won’t necessarily be students sharing that are from the same university. However, I am sure that they try and ensure that they put students from the same university/school together.
  3. I’m possibly just being completely dumb here but how do I switch it from Russian to English or do i just have to copy into translate? 🤦🏼‍♀️
  4. Thank you for that! I had just assumed it was cheaper because it is the old syllabus whereas all the others have obviously been updated relatively recently. You have to wonder why they haven’t put up the girls syllabus yet?
  5. I'm currently studying for my grade 7 exam or at least was before classes had to stop but was yet to purchase the DVD/book in order to practise at home. The RAD have now had to stop shipping online orders so I am unable to purchase them and the app only has the grade 7 boys. How different are the boys exercises from the girls? Would I get away with using the boys syllabus on the app until things go back to normal? I realise that there will be exercises missing that are only for the girls but is everything else just the same?
  6. This isn’t dance related but still awesome news anyway but I have been offered a place at my top choice university for children’s nursing. After the face to face interview being cancelled due to the virus and then having it be conducted over the phone, I wasn’t exactly prepared! Here’s to hoping things soon calm down and the scheduled start time will still be September!
  7. I can’t seem to find the Facebook page @RachelSkipper
  8. The poor kids having to wait even longer for results
  9. In regards to the getting over on the box, I would suggest speaking to your teacher and asking her. They’ll be able to suggest ways best suited for you to improve this. They will also be able to determine if it is the shoe or not that is the issue. Good luck!
  10. Hi, I jumped straight into doing intermediate without doing IF after having taken a 2 year break along with doing grade 7/8. There was nothing in the class that I didn’t know step wise, it was just the fact it is much more technical and the speed of the exercises for allegro were much faster than I was used to. As My teacher said to me when I suggested doing IF first, the RAD wouldn’t allow for students to miss IF if they thought that you needed it to do intermediate. I would suggest giving it a try, the worst that could happen is that you hate it and do want to do IF first. Good luck ☺️
  11. https://www.royalballetschool.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/RBS_Annual_Report_17-18.pdf They have the one for 17/18 online which is slightly more up to date but have yet to realise 18/19.
  12. Hopefully their admin gets sorted before results start to come out for full time training!
  13. I’ve just looked at the dates out of curiosity but I’ve noticed that for the final upper school auditions, they have a semi final on the Saturday and then a final on the Sunday - has this always been the case? Why would they have 3 stages of auditions for upper but not lower school?
  14. Hi, I was just wondering if anyone had copies of the above syllabus that they no longer need and would be willing to sell on? I’m not too fussed as to whether it’s the DVD or the book. TIA Sugarplum
  15. I’m not entirely sure if this ides would work but could you possibly practise sliding down into the kneel by holding onto something and repeating the movement but gradually loosening your grip until you are managing to do it without holding onto something? In my head that seems to make complete sense but I’m not sure if someone reading it will be able to make sense of it 🤦‍♀️
  16. Thank you for this info - the Friday rush idea sounds good although if tickets run out quickly then it also sounds really stressful 😂 thank you - I will just have to see what options are available when the time comes. Living in the north means I don’t get many chances to see the royal ballet unless it’s at the cinema so I like to take any chance I get to see them.
  17. Hi, a friend and I are planning on visiting London at some point through January and are hoping to see a performance at the ROH. However, as the trip is for university interviews and the university have said that they would provide the final details in the new year, including the dates, we are unable to organise tickets just yet. How easy it is to buy tickets last minute? I know from previously going through the uni interview process that sometimes dates can be given as little as a week in advance and I would worry about not being able to get tickets that late. In the past I have always bought tickets months in advance so this is very new territory!
  18. The last time I was booking, when you clicked on the seat that you would like to book it came up with a few images of the view from that seat. This may have changed though since then as it was a couple of months ago I just checked and this does still seem to be the case
  19. Ah, maybe that was what it was. Having seen An asterisk on the ENB cast sheets last week for the debut and the fact the one last night was next to aurora I made the assumption it was for Anna-Roses debut 😅
  20. A friend posted a photo of her cast sheet onto social media last night and her cast sheet displayed an asterisk next to O’Sullivans name.
  21. Great way to start the year! I was beginning to think I wouldn’t be able to see it as the nearest Curzon cinema to me is over 100 miles away!
