The last time I was booking, when you clicked on the seat that you would like to book it came up with a few images of the view from that seat. This may have changed though since then as it was a couple of months ago I just checked and this does still seem to be the case

Royal Ballet Sleeping Beauty, 2019-20
SugarPlum2000 replied to annamk's topic in Performances seen & general discussions
Ah, maybe that was what it was. Having seen An asterisk on the ENB cast sheets last week for the debut and the fact the one last night was next to aurora I made the assumption it was for Anna-Roses debut 😅- 644 replies

A friend posted a photo of her cast sheet onto social media last night and her cast sheet displayed an asterisk next to O’Sullivans name.- 644 replies

Romeo & Juliet Filmed Production
SugarPlum2000 replied to SPD444's topic in Ballet / Dance news & information
Great way to start the year! I was beginning to think I wouldn’t be able to see it as the nearest Curzon cinema to me is over 100 miles away!- 90 replies

Have you tried washing them inside out? This may or may not work but may be worth a try.
-
Thanks for this idea - ENB are due to be doing the nutcracker at the end of the month near me so I will try then
-
Thank you, I will give that a try. This is exactly what I had been thinking. It would be nice to maybe see individual prints available from the swan lake photo book that was recently released as well as more shots available of other company members.

I was hoping to find some prints of either dancers themselves or ones of scenes from the main ballets. I am hoping the attached picture will show but we had these hung up in my school dance studios which is what I would like however I cannot find these except for on google images.

SugarPlum2000 started following Ballet Posters/ Prints
-
Hi, I was just wondering if any knew of anywhere that you can buy ballet posters/prints from? I’ve had a look on the ROH website but I was hoping to find some cheaper ones. I also looked on amazon but they didn’t have what I was looking for. TIA

An interesting piece just shared by the Royal Ballet school. https://www.royalballetschool.org.uk/2019/10/31/ballet-training-how-much-is-enough/

I think they said it would be 30 days then after that would be snippets of the main bits.

Struggling to keep up with sequences and arm positioning
SugarPlum2000 replied to FlowerPower's topic in Doing Dance
I’m not sure how much this will help but one thing I have always been taught is to never mark work without fully extending the arm movements. I think the line of thought there is that the arms will naturally move to their positions without much thought which then gives you the capacity to allow your brain to be thinking about the leg movements without having to think too much about the arms. At home, where space is limited and it was coming up to an exam, I would always play the music through some headphones and practise the arms movements and run through the movements of my legs in my mind and the two would come together without much thought in class. I am not sure how much help this would be for you though although it may be worth a try. -
RAD Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies
SugarPlum2000 replied to SugarPlum2000's topic in Doing Dance
Hi Michelle, Thank you for your response and that information although unfortunately it is now inessential for me as I have decided to go down the nursing route rather than that of dance teaching! Although I am sure it may be useful for anyone else who is considering teaching 😊 -
What size is that in a S M or L?
-
If they are in a good condition as you stated then could you not sell them and then use that money to pay for new shoes? That way they are still getting used, your younger dd has the correct shoes and you’re not having to waste your time painting and repainting shoes
