BTW - you might wish to reinvest in Magri/Corrales I don't know why, but some nice tickets came up in the stalls circle for the 10th so I snatched those up, hopefully she's back by then, have no idea if it's an injury or COVID positive or something, so I have my fingers crossed for a return from Nela. I've decided that I'll return tomorrow night's tickets. I have some for Marci and Anna, if any comes up for Magri I'm all in! But they have danced excerpts from it together, in Japan. So they have rehearsed bits of it together. And they both know the ballet so well that I am sure they will be just fine.

It will be interesting to see what the reviews (and forum members) think. I hope Nunez is ok.
MJW
That's a bit of a shame for tomorrow as it would have been one of the very few times I have seen Nunez and Muntagirov live, but I have tried to learn to live with cast changes!
JNC
Didn’t Muntagirov and Kaneko recently do a swan lake somewhere? I wonder if she would have been a better partnering choice, albeit it would have gone before her debut performance (and two days back to back). Good point. The ticket is for a performance not a performer. And I can't even imagine how she must feel. 2 minutes ago, JNC said: Didn’t Muntagirov and Kaneko recently do a swan lake somewhere? And last year in Japan when Nunez withdrew. Edited February 28, 2022 by oncnp
art_enthusiast
Just wondering, which side of the stalls circle is best for Swan Lake - right or left? I tend to opt for sitting on the right side, but also have tickets for the left. Is it possible you might miss a lot of the action on a particular side? Rob S
Statement from the Royal Opera House By Alex Beard (Chief Executive, Royal Opera House) Monday 28 February 2022, 4pm All of us here at the Royal Opera House are shocked and appalled by the ongoing humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine. As an expression of respect for all those affected by this terrible conflict, we will be lighting our building in the colours of the Ukrainian flag every night this week, and in a moment of reflection playing the national anthem of Ukraine before each performance.

I sat in the right of the stalls circle today and you miss any action in the top right of the stage, so some initial entrances before they travel further and yes, the Queen in Act 3. So, if we are picky, Odette's first entrance comes from there and some of her interactions with Von Rothbart. I didn't feel that mattered too much, but it's a factor. I can't remember anything too crucial on the left side: it's a pretty well centred production.

Nina99
It’s odd that so far Marianela hasn’t mentioned on her IG that she is not performing tomorrow. If it is an injury I hope she has recovered by the 10th when I’m due to see her.
