Picturesinthefirelight
Ok, I know it's still August but the mumsnet Christmas bargains thread is on number 4 & the Christmas section is now on the Matalan website. They've got lots of Nutcracker themed stuff plus a ballerina tree ornament. https://www.matalan.co.uk/product/detail/s2662530_c000/globe-christmas-decoration-25cm-x-16cm-clear?awc=7991_1503770984_13963789c0478df87508b53445a3f06a&utm_source=78888&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=affiliates https://www.matalan.co.uk/products/search?q=Nutcracker https://www.matalan.co.uk/products/search?q=Ballerina https://www.matalan.co.uk/products/search?q=Snowglobe Anyone else seen anything? Picturesinthefirelight
The Ted Baker sets from Boots were a limited edition design produced only during that year. I think I bought the entire range!

alison
We got a copy of the "Bits and Pieces" catalogue through the post the other day. It includes socks with ballet slippers and cross-tied ribbons printed on. Adult sizes 6-

DVDs of ballets maybe? Military style dance bags? Those little keyring ballet shoes in manly colours like red, black, yellow? A nutcracker for the tree?

Pups_mum
I feel a bit sad reading this.....all my DD really wants for birthdays and Christmas is money/gift cards nowadays. That's growing up and student life for you I suppose, but I do miss the days when a ballet themed necklace or toiletries would have been a welcome gift. 😭
mimi'smom
Particularly interested if anyone comes across any ballerina tree decorations. We have been buying our dd one every year since she was a year 4 JA and promised we would do so until she has finished her training - we are now in 6:1. 😝 The problem is, the ornaments have to have good technique and every one I've found this year has been met with a disdainful look and comments such as "No way mom, just look at her feet!" Give me strength!!
Legseleven
That made me laugh out loud, Mimi’s mom! I can just imagine my DD saying that and in that exact tone of voice too...
Wigglybunny
Paperchase has a lovely range of nutcracker wrapping paper and gift boxes/bags, with ribbon, confetti and even nutcracker patterned sellotape! Also some (very cute) little nutcracker pegs and a musical ballerina card. John Lewis also has nutcracker greeting cards. Have just realised I may sound a little obsessed! 😂
Millie3
Not a gift-but for those that send Christmas cards- the RNLI have a lovely card this year. Dancers at the barre with yellow RNLI wellies on. Had to buy a few packs when I saw them. https://goo.gl/images/1Mt14a
alison
After all, who else could show off the "RNLI" printed on the SIDES so beautifully?

shygirlsmum
https://ie.loccitane.com/royal-ballet-collections,103,1,74658,1137758.htm love this brand. I’m sure the ballet inspired sets will be beautiful, quite pricey though.
Viv
I don't know if this is available to those of you in the UK, but the RAD Australia shop is now online and has some pretty cute stuff like journals and makeup brushes - https://royal-academy-of-dance-merchandise.myshopify.com/pages/gifts-accessories I particularly like the 'Stylish RAD Dance Bag'. I just wish there were more pictures, I never buy a bag I haven't seen the inside of. Edited November 6, 2017 by Viv
Aklf
Hi all, I make lots of ballet themed gifts perfect for Xmas and stocking fillers! Plenty of lucky charm boxes, ballerina Xmas baubles, nutcracker gifts and Alice in wonderland. Mummy twinkle toes
Just been to Harrods and lots of their own brands are half price. They do fairy style ballet lunchbags for younger ones and handbags-rucksacks for older ones. Not completely ballet inspired but useful gift ideas. They also have cute teddies in small shopper bags for 8.50 at the moment-pink, navy and their Westie one.

Dancing unicorn
I found some lovely gift bags with a nutcracker doll on in Home Bargain last week! Different size bags, and also Nutcracker Christmas cards! Going back tomorrow to see what else there is! We’re Nutcracker mad in our house!

alison
I popped into that Aladdin's Cave of advent calendars, the Medici Gallery outside South Kensington station, yesterday, and spotted a rather stunning (and large) ballet-themed advent calendar - a theatre stage with lots of dancers on it. Unfortunately, it didn't have a price on it, that I could see, but there were a few left.
sunrise81
Smiggle do a lovely ballet slipper keyring and pencil case. I noticed them in store in Leeds last weekend and they just happened to be bought for my daughter! She's 9......she had spied them whilst we were in the week before buying pass the parcel prizes!
DancingShoes
B&M Bargains do a pack of 3 nutcrackers for £3.99 in 2 different colour ways.
