    Not sure about suitability for Don Q but I noticed Ball's comedic ability when he danced Lysander in the Dream, especially when he and Hermia were going to sleep for the night and he tried to kiss her but she turned and gave him her check. He reacted with abject horror and I was really amused 😂

    It seems impossible to choose one Two Pigeons cast. A good problem to have I suppose.

    I saw his Barbarians in Brighton and wished I had ear plugs. I like loud music but this was unpleasantly loud.

    I find that I generally get more into it when I can see the facial expressions, so the cinema screenings are great for me!

    I saw both casts and I found Morera/Bonelli more moving, nuanced and absorbing. Plus there's already a Watson DVD, so I'd love to have their performance recorded.

    It's that strange wording again and doesn't mention injury, so hopefully Morera is OK.

    Just came from this evening's performance. No cast change announcement, so I was surprised to see Hayward as Perdita rather than Takada.

    I was moved by how feather light she was in Act 2, especially in the series of lifts. As a cockney geezer near me in the audience said, 'If she jumped in a puddle there wouldn't be a splash!' And Alexander shaking his head no when she started slipping away from him again at the end. I hope they get a cinema relay next time as I'd love to see their faces close up and I think this partnership needs to be recorded. I'll be at today's matinee as well and will try to make it to the escalator.

    I saw on New York City Ballet's website that they're performing in Copenhagen 15-19 August. There didn't seem to be a big announcement or press release, I just happened upon it and thought forum members might be interested. I've been desperate to see them and kicked myself for not seeing them in Paris, so I've got my tickets They're doing 3 triple bills plus a gala.     The casting of Manon is a real problem in that I don't think I've ever wanted to see so many casts!

    I thought the tutus in ENB's Corsaire were unflattering. They're way too long and droopy and make the dancers' legs look short.

    Interesting that Rojo's statement on Corrales leaving doesn't mention him at all!

    So pleased he's staying in London and I'm excited to see him with the RB. Another blow for ENB though, especially as he was only promoted to principal this year.

    I know that Campbell will be amazing and I was surprised he wasn't cast in the first place, but I was intrigued to see Sambe in a dramatic role I hope he's back onstage soon.

    The Royal Ballet's put the whole thing up on YouTube now in 2 parts. Nearly 5 hours. I know what I'll be doing tonight!

    That's a shame. I always wished to see more of him outside of the contemporary reportoire.
