  1. Fabulous - glad you enjoyed your trip. Dancique has to be our favourite dance shop ???? (there really should be some ballet/pointe/dance related emoji's shouldn't there!!)
  2. Hiya Pretty sure its free parking right outside the shop sunday! But if no spaces, turn left after Dancique, second road left again (first road one way I think!) Then left again as though going back to main road and car park on left £3.00 for day. Walk top of road Dancique on left! Hope that helps xx enjoy
  3. Hi tired mummy - if talking about RBS audition feedback - then you can ask her current ballet teacher to ask for feedback for you. You could ask her to ask them about physio assessment feedback. They generally don't give feedback to parents.
  4. Ohh dear - how old is he? Can you not just say video is for reference for after the audition to remember him and take him to the audition anyway? Just a thought!
  5. Hi Harwel - application for YBSS was uptil this year by photo (video now replaces photos) so yes you do still send in video and application form, plus application form for scholarship audition to attend either London or York audition. Hope that helps.
  6. Huge congratulations to all the girls that got to finals yesterday, what an achievement! They should all be really pleased with themselves and also the parents too. Well done xxx
  7. Haha! The things we do for our dd's (and ds's!)!!! Everything certainly revolves around dance in our house!
  8. So sorry Flora. Shes done fantasic to get that far xxx
  9. Haha Hairbelles - we've handed stuff in when on a visit with JA's at Covent Garden too!! Ahhh happy days (yrs 4 & 5) when everything was so happy and carefree! Then the stresses kicked in in yr 6 and haven't stopped since or wont either for us as Upper School auditions for us next year haha!!!!
  10. Just for info: there is/was a huge JA stamped on the application forms as these were handed out in JA classes! Don't know how it works now that application on line!
  11. Was just going to edit post to say about YBSS Legseleven but you beat me to it!
  12. Some charge deposits! If you get in it is deducted from total amount! But as in our case, because of change of plan, we lost the deposit! Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't RBS deduct the £25 from total if you get in!? I can't remember what happened when dd accepted in yr5.
  13. Sorry don't know about ballet, but it could be modern and tap exams!!
  14. Maybe its a double barrel name - Miss Dixon-Richardson hehe! Sorry Karen's dd exam brought forward. DD's exam was supposed to be Thur, but was moved to Friday cos of school trip to Magistrates Court tomorrow! Glad Snape's dd exam went well! Dd really pleased with way her drama went today which is a reliefe. Such a busy time in school this week - would have loved to see the Grad showcase, good luck to them in London x
  15. Absolutely agree with Tootu. Its worth the travel to Birmingham, dd's GM's almost dead so had a fitting whilst there at half term! All roads lead to Birmingham hehe! (Good for shopping, eating and BRB too!!)
  16. Sound's like my dd's feet! Would recommend going to Dancique Birmingham for fitting. Very friendly, knowledgeable people who will spend the time with you til they get a shoe thats right! Loads of makes, Grishco, Freed, Bloch, Merlet, Russian Pointe, Gaynor Minden - pointe shoe heaven! Best of luck x
  17. No sorry, dd's exam Friday! Maybe you'll find out before me and let me know haha!! Is you're dd's today? Dd more stressed over first part of GCSE drama piece today than RAD exam Friday!
  18. Good luck to everyone at Hammond doing RAD exams this week. You'll all be fab ????????
  19. Dd started in September having only done very little tap in last place. We went through grades 2 to 5 over the summer just to give her a feel for it and she was put in Intermediate class. Was very impressed watching class back in November! Only 3 months in! And she is loving it. Can't wait for the summer show!
  20. Lots of very happy times at Manchester RBS JA's with the lovely Miss Agar. DD with her for yrs 4, 5 and 6. Audition/classes are held at Centre Pointe in Denton, Manchester. Fab studios, waiting area with coffee machine (very much needed on the early mornings!). Classes are on a Friday and a Sunday - years 4 and 5 in the afternoon and then yr 6 in the morning. Sainsbury's just round corner for lunch and just a bit further is Premier Inn. Hope that helps. All the very best for your ds's audition.
  21. Hi taxi and pointetoes, thanks for tip about superdrug and tesco will try there - problem with some of them is tips come off and then they are unusable! Boots ones were great plus I always bought when on a 3 for 2!
  22. Hi Yes Im having same problem here! DD likes the ones from Primark - think it was £1 for 30. I usually buy hairnets (10 packs of 3 at a time!) from Starlite, but unfortunately their hair pins not good! I did ask an assistant at Boots before Xmas about it (pulling one from my hair!) And she said they were reviewing it after Xmas and to go to Claires!! Well thanks for that!! So if anyone knows a good supplier, I too would like to know. Thanks
  23. Sorry pups mum but I have to slightly disagree on the 'lay more store on the narrative of the inspection report rather than the figures etc'. These 'reports' still don't give you an actual insight into a school. Speaking to parents who are at/have been at a school give you a 'slightly' better insight! All I can say is that where our dd is at now, she is far happier dance wise, academically and pastorally!! And is thriving because of it!!
