Totally agree B4b! We were speachless on Thur night. Trully amazing! Can't wait for tonights performance. Our dd is totally ballet ballet ballet and nothing but ballet but to see her on that stage, completely out of her confort zone having an absolute ball. She has been buzzing all week, it might not be ballet but shes still learning how to perform on a stage with a full cast of people. All skills they all need to perform no matter what! Thank you Hammond for making my dd a very happy girly!!

Yes Anna C this is so true. My dd tried loads of freeds soft pointes, different makers and different sizes and widths! And now she can only wear Butterfly makers shoes - perfect fit everytime!! So it is worth trying. Dancique in Birmingham is fantastic xx

Don't think it's the school side of things as DD used to 8.30 start and 6.00pm finish with 4 hrs timetabled dance a day! It's the travelling from house to school thats new and making her feel tired!! Plus all the new routines! Hopefully a nice weekend at home will sort everyone out - lots of hugs and tlc for everyone!! Enjoy the weekend xx

Don't know about York but Opes is brilliant! Don't know age of your dd/ds but, lots of ballet, pointe and Contemporary for older ones. Not really Musical Theatre! Very friendly, chaperones fab, teachers amazing! Hope that helps.

This made me chuckle! My dd has very thick auben hair. First day at JA's we had the frizzy bits -still makes me smile when I look at the photo! But now, being at voc school, being very partucular and obviously having to do her own hair - she has it thinned once or twice a year to get the bulk down from the crown of the head! She then uses straighteners on it to smooth the hair - somehow she says it makes it feel thinner! She then puts it in a pony and uses a nit comb to get all the bits back and then uses either hair spray or gell to smooth down - bun is then put in. Hope that helps in some way - has worked for her since age 8 and always looks immaculet!

Hi sorry change of subject - in a panic!! Bought 'non iron' m&s blouses, washed them, hung up and guess what - to me they need ironing! Or am I just being too fussy!! How are they washed in school, are they tumble dried and come out better?? Haven't got tumble drier so don't know how they come out!! Any feedback greatly received please. Thanks

My dd was at Ballet Cymru last week. There was not 40 students in one class! There were 15 girls and 2 boys in the lower group and 21 ish girls in the upper group! And then there were company members joining in/helping students! The only time there would have seemed like 40 would have been in the stage rehearsal for the show! The teacher in question was extremely nice with the lower group. Anyone who is at vocational school would understand the teachers frustration when 'asking loudly' for students input! Peoples/young adults views can seem very distorted. This was not a 'children's' summer school but more for people above the age of 15 at either Intermediate/advanced or pre-professional level and therefore they were taught accordingly.

Ohh right We have 2 bloch practice tutus measuring 42inch 107cm. Size xs tutu!! Grishco is 102cm also xs size. Will probs go for Just Ballet bag if Bloch dont come back to us. Thanks everyone for all your help.

You'll probably have more luck doing that than we will of ever finding one the right size haha!! If we ever get a reply from Bloch will let you know as there must be loads of Bloch tutu's in GB that could do with a bag!
