  1. Thinking of Yorkshire summer school, how hard is it to obtain a place ? My DD has only been dancing for two years she is year 6 , and a RBS ja ( hoping to go to vocational school this time around) she isn't as experienced as most but seems to be showing potential , will this be enough to get a place ?
  2. We have to book holiday dates for next summer so I'm trying to pin down SS dates. I've researched on here and think I've narrowed it down to Opes or York Dance Assembly. Which would you recommend for a first time residential. ..lots of ballet but perhaps some musical theatre too. Know I'm asking a lot now but does anybody have any dates for 2017? Thanks...you're all brilliant.

  4. This Residential and Day summer school is organised by Yorkshire Ballet Scholarship Centre ( founded by Louise Browne) in York with all funds going to help run the centre which is a charity. It takes place from Monday 8th Aug - Friday 12th August at Queen Margaret's school, Escrick, York which is a private boarding school set in beautiful grounds with its own indoor swimming pool, theatre and dance studios.   5. York Dance Assembly ( formerly known as Yorkshire Assembly) is a residential dance summer school over five days Mon 3rd Aug - Fri 7th Aug 2015 at Queen Margaret's school, Escrick. York. Classes include ballet, contemporary, jazz, musical theatre and street. Evening activities include swimming, cinema night, pamper evening. Children welcome from 9 years - vocational.   6. Hello, can any of you lovely people who did this course at the above venue last yr advise how easy it is to get to from the train station? Debating whether to drive or take train, auto route suggests 2 hr 40 min drive verses 1 hrs 15 mins on train, if it is quite straightforward tempted to do train..... thank you
