  1. Is it not already recorded Alison?
  2. Is anyone watching this? I didn’t know it was on until I saw it yesterday on BBC 4, it was the keyboard competition.
  3. What a gem this ballet is. it really lifts the spirits. Seeing the stream reminded me of the Bolshoi visit to ROH last summer- such happy memories. The stream’s casting was spot on - Lunkina so lyrical and Alexandrova so funny in the cross dressing. But the honours go to the men here - dancing on pointe, was it a sylph or Giselle parody? Was it Staskevitch as the school girl?
  4. Thanks Alison that looks interesting
  5. Nina when I first saw Giselle- Kirov production I didn’t like it at all. Now I love it more each time I see it.
  6. Loved the Merry Widow - Renee Fleming was glorious. Very uplifting to the spirits.
  7. I believe I saw that the Met will be streaming the Merry Widow on 23 April.
  8. Yes I remember watching this - it was excellent and not dumbed down!
  9. Thanks for highlighting this tribute - I watched the film and birthday video. Lovely to see, Carlos and his sweet daughter looks so like her dad.
  10. The Bolshoi Marco Spada that was shown on its YouTube channel with Hallberg and a terrific cast. I really appreciated Lacotte’s choreography- very difficult as Hallberg says in that clip. Shows that Bolshoi dancers can do such a very different style.
  11. I found the Miyako programme very sad - she seemed to be suffering so much. The part with Mukhamedov was very moving - as they Worked to overcame the challenge of the piece.
  12. Thank you Anna I just watched Swan Lake on YouTube with Rodkin and Zacharova as I was working earlier.
  13. Well you never know when you will need your regular supporters - so the message is value them!
  14. Will they ask for ID at the ROH then Lin? there could be serious restrictions on opera and ballet audiences if so.
  15. I walked past the Wells today and saw the posters. I understand the decision and I am sure it wasn’t taken lightly. lets hope all our dancers keep well too.
  16. They would be very sensible steps. whatever the situation re performances stay safe all.
  17. A further thought - it would be a tragedy if the current wonderful RB dancers didn’t get the opportunity to dance in these productions in their home theatre for their home audience
  18. I would be sorry to lose either of these productions. I don’t want to wait for the Russian companies to tour them. I would be very interested in Ratmansky’s reconstruction of Bayadere though. I think Minkus has a bad press!
  19. Yes indeed the situation is now evolving quickly. It doesn’t seem to have put people off attending the ROH for swan lake so far!
