  1. Flippin' weather! Guess who had to go up to Milton Keynes on the train today? Train delayed by maybe 75 minutes, and was late for my course.
  3. Not having seen the later discussion, I'd enlarged the font size in the original post somewhat
  4. Yes, there was a sign outside when I left saying that you can borrow the Performing Arts collection now. And anyone, even without proof of address, can use the free WiFi and online facilities. What are you waiting for?!
  5. Further to this comment, I now understand that it is possible to become a member of Westminster libraries (and beyond) as long as you have an address somewhere in the UK, and can provide suitable ID. I don't know how much of the collection is available for loan, but it looks as though even the Reference Library will now let you borrow some of its theatre books.
  6. Here's the booking page: http://www.sadlerswells.com/whats-on/2016/yorke-dance-project-rewind-forward/ It includes the rarely seen "Sea of Troubles" by MacMillan, among other things.
  7. Well done on getting Lambeth Palace. I never read the guide early enough to pre-book anything. Have you been to Draper's Hall, BTW?
  8. But never mind the quality, feel the width - of exposure. That's all that matters in our social-media-obsessed society, isn't it?
  9. Well, well - it's a welcome sight to see something non-mainstream getting sent to DVD - even though the reason will almost certainly have been Acosta rather than anything else.
  10. This was just being discussed on Radio 3's In Tune programme (somewhere between 5 and 5.30 pm, so 30-60 minutes in). Unfortunately, I was on a phone call and couldn't take it all in.

    Dance belts

Gymnasts don't have to wear tights that *anything* will show underneath, though
  12. Some people can find the smell of coconut oil rather overpowering, though Balletbean mentioned pillows: I always found that polyester pillows would send my hair completely crazy (as well as interfering with my ability to get a good night's sleep)
  13. I'd agree: find a supportive member of staff to talk to - I can understand that it would be disconcerting to be back at school under the circumstances you describe.

Wouldn't they go for normal jockstraps? (Not that I know much about this )
  15. Or alternatively: http://www.travelzoo.com/uk/entertainment/london-southeast/-85-The-Barber-of-Seville-in-London-up-to-51-Off-2331431/?utm_source=top20_uk&utm_medium=email&utm_content=2331431&utm_campaign=uk_top20_2016_36_deal%3a2331431
  16. Thanks, Lynette - I haven't got that far through my guide yet. No White Lodge and/or RBS?
  17. Bargain for the weekday matinee, if not exactly cheap otherwise: https://www.timeout.com/london/shop/entertainment-barber-of-seville-royal-opera-house?cid=eml~GB_LON~NL~1400980190~&refid=newsletter-2offers-1400980190~CTA~
  18. Well, the Telegraph does usually like ballet and dance photos, doesn't it? Or is it only ones involving Darcey?
  19. Welcome to the forum, Tatiana. I love the avatar (is it Cojocaru? I can't tell at that size)
  20. That's what I meant, Lin. Or maybe Bristol. Shame Cojocaru isn't on in the same evening. Does anyone know the running time? I suppose I could get home from Soton if I can make the 10 pm train, although after my last nightmare experience I'm not sure I want to risk it again.
  21. Oh well, that's okay - I shall have ample opportunity to see Keesler if I go to a matinee somewhere, obviously.
  22. Ah, I think it may have been Hope Boykin who was so great in Chroma in the recent cinema broadcast. Thanks
  23. Thanks very much for this, Katherine. I've merged the details with the existing AB cinema thread.
