  1. Congratulations! Hammond is s fab school 🎉🎉
  2. I’m not a LinkedIn member and I could read it!
  3. I got it no problem! Interesting readung thank you
  4. Ahjust remembered! Cecchetti associates are held at KSD too! Would second watching KSD at Brindley, they have some amazing boys!
  5. I would second this idea! Told one of my students only yesterday to put 2 centres down! (Although for a yr5 place) you stand more chance of getting a place! good luck 🍀
  6. How awful for him! So is he not having any lessons at the moment sorry for asking! 2 places that spring to mind that may be able to help are Centre Pointe (Manchester) and KS Dance (Warrington) Give them both a ring and hopefully they can point you in the right direction!
  7. No and it doesn’t get any easier the higher up they get or the older they get either 😂
  8. I’m glad it’s not just me that thinks this of Hammond miracle!
  9. Same here but gutted we can’t make Easter this year! But hopefully doing summer 😁
  10. Please don’t forget the late great Errol Pickford attended Hammond!!! 😢
  11. Hooray!!!!!!! I totally agree with what everyone has said about Hammond above!
  12. No sorry no experience of either but dd was JA at Centre Pointe and miss wright was lovely so would def recommend there.
  13. Ah shame! Theres also Centre Pointe Manchester and Yorkshire Summer school - not YBSS the other one which for the life of me can’t remember it’s proper title 🤪
  14. I really wouldn’t worry about not getting into either of these summer schools honestly! Why don’t you try Malvern Summer School - New this year but dd been to all the Easter courses and absolutely loves them! Gutted we can’t get to the Easter one this year cos of school commitments but glad we will be able to do summer instead!
  15. Balletbean - we were in stitches at 5am this morning for this reason! I had fake tanned DD’s legs and body etc for her performances last night ready for today to find she had worn bigger knickers than normal and she now has a white line under her tights! At least she saw the funny side at 5am this morning!! Thongs I think in future!!!!! Xx And yes Capezio all the way! Dd won’t wear anything else pink tights wise, lovely colour and fit and more wear out than hole or ladder!!!
  16. How about going to Move It 2019 in London all the colleges will be there! You may not get any classes as probs sold out but still a fab place to go and get all info in one place on 1 day!!!
  17. This is how we do our shows too! Babies just in the first half of the afternoon show with the older girls dancing mostly in the second half. I think its important for all the parents of the little ones to see what the older ones do, to inspire the younger ones! After the babies have danced in the first half they are chaperoned in the theatre and watch the second half with the big girls dancing! They love watching the big girls as some of them actually help in the baby classes! Then the evening performance is just from Grade 1 upwards as by this time they are also doing modern, tap, street etc so have more dances anyway! It’s lovely reading how other schools do things!
  18. Do Dance Works do classes for children on a Saturday or Pineapple! Just 2 that I can think of!
  19. That’s fabulous! Just for info - something to look out for are the RBS JA for a Day days. I was at one with one of my students at the weekend and it has inspired her to audition! They are for children from yr 3 to give them an inside as to what it’s like to be a JA. My own dd did one at 7yrs, auditioned and got in in yr4. Went to vocational school for 5 years from yr7 and is now at College doing what she loves!!!
