  1. Fudge, what you have said underlines what a lot of dancing parents have said, namely that their dcs lost their love of dance at vocational school. It's so sad. My youngest dd wanted to do musical theatre so she was told she had to lean ballet (which she has always loved) tap, modern, jazz and any other form of dance going. It very soon stopped being things that she liked/loved to do and became a grind. I sent her to ballet because she loved it, not to turn her into a performer. It didn't happen for a variety of reasons but the joyous child who rushed into ballet class and came out beaming vanished before she was 14.
  2. If your daughter wanted to do extra ballet, her teacher might have a point as far as dance etiquette goes but you say that she wants to learn tap and jazz/modern. If your daughter's teacher doesn't offer these classes or not at a suitable time, I think that you are entitled to send her elsewhere for these classes. However the teacher does not seem as if she is being very helpful. Perhaps another school which has your daughter's interests instead of her own at heart might be an idea?
  3. Yes, I did too. It was surprising what I heard sometimes too. I was only reading, not deaf!
  4. I have just learned that we will be in Tier 2 except for Boston, Michelle. I hope this helps. I have just looked at the website this was on and it has vanished so I think this is wrong. Sorry!
  5. My daughters’ ballet teacher said you could never really tell until a child had gone through puberty and I never knew her to be wrong in twelve years.
  6. My daughter works in a hospital and is refusing to visit us in case she brings Covid 19 with her. Unless there’s a miracle we probably won’t see her at Christmas. My brother can’t come because we are in different tiers and I don’t know know if we will see our younger daughter as she doesn’t know if the restaurant she works in will reopen before Christmas and she says people here are very cavalier in their attitude to wearing a mask. I really don’t see the problem.
  7. It is sad but I suppose lockdown has made her realise how hard she was working to maintain her standard at the ROH and be a good mother. It is obvious that both of the McCraes adore their children and perhaps she realised how much she was missing them.
  8. That’s a great photo of a dear little bird, Quintus! Thank you for sharing it.
  9. There’s a very graceful tribute to her by Xander on Instagram.
  10. Michelle, Covid cases are on the rise all over Lincolnshire and Nottingham is going into lockdown now and South Yorkshire is already there. I guess nowhere is that safe now. Stay well.

Oh, Talk Talk are the very worst! We ditched them in 2012 and I can still remember the nightmare they were to deal with, from start to finish. You have my sympathy.

The government’s Covid-19 policy - not fit for purpose.
  13. In the video, Kathryn actually said that MCB appeared to want her followers rather than her. They even suggested that her name should stay on the MCB roster even if she left. So horribly manipulative. Poor Kathryn.
  14. Kathryn Morgan’s new video on YouTube feeds directly into this subject. It made me angry and upset for this very courageous dancer.
  15. Kathryn Morgan has just released a video on YouTube about why she left Miami City Ballet. She was treated horribly by them and her mental and physical health began to suffer badly. It applies directly to this topic.
  16. I hope your poor son is soon feeling much better, @Pups_mum and I hope your other son will do well in mock results.
  17. Ear infections can cause very high temperatures so maybe it’s that? Fingers crossed for you all.
  18. I really hope your dear dd can shake it off easily, @Kanangra I always thought it was a premature and irresponsible act for the government reopen the schools and universities. Stay safe, all Ballet Co family. x
