My dd has recently lost some weight as a result of being put back on Concerta for ADHD. She works in a medical field and is sick of comments such as “Oh, you’ve lost weight! You look amazing!” They have a member of staff battling anorexia and it is thoughtless and harmful to her mental health.

I think we were lucky as when our two dds had ribbons on their flats the ballet school told us to use pointe shoe ribbons. They were in flats with elastic from Primary to the end of Grade Two and changed to ribbons on flats until they were put en pointe.

Oh dear! I have just had a look at the Revolution page on Dance Direct’s website which was where I bought mine. Only three of their leotards aren’t black. I’m sorry not have better news.

Revolution Dancewear used to do larger leotards in a reasonable range of non black colours.

It was on the BBC website but perhaps you don’t consider them a reputable source?

Hi @Peach3I was thinking specifically of the University of Glasgow which has done nothing to help their students - no communication at all beyond telling them to stay in their rooms after the students had discovered their blocks had been fenced off and were guarded by police. When they asked what they should do about food they were told it was nothing to do with university and to sort it out themselves. I have heard similar stories about other universities. I’m glad your daughter is safe and well.

I think all students, ballet, further education, university etc all deserve to have fees refunded. They are not being taught properly and are paying outrageous sums. What is happening to university students throughout the country is heartbreaking.

Hi friends. My Twitter account FizzieLou no longer exists. It started yesterday afternoon after I couldn’t use it and when I got in touch I was told my account had been hacked and to change my password. I have done it no less than a dozen times to get nowhere and the latest wheeze is telling me that my passwords don’t match when they do. I spend too much time on social media anyway and after trying and failing to get anywhere with the problem, I have deleted the app from my phone. So long and thanks for all the fish! Seriously, I have been thinking for some time what a toxic place it was becoming, so the problem has been resolved for me.

I second a podiatrist. Verrucas can be very stubborn. I tried over the counter medication for one of our dds and the doctor said that a podiatrist would be more help. It took two or three visits to him before it finally cleared up for good. I wish you luck.
