AllAboutTheJourney Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 (edited) Morning - I just wondered if anyone had received an email confirming their audition date/time for JA's yet? Applications closed at the end of March I believe but we haven't had an audition date yet. Just quite keen to book hotel/train etc as we are travelling to the audition. Thanks! balletboy8 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Hi the date for your venue can be found on the RBS website, Eastleigh is 13th May I believe. We have not received the email telling us the time on that day but knowing the day would help with hotel etc
Dancing unicorn Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Hi My little student had her email with times for Birmingham last Thursday!
AllAboutTheJourney Posted April 11, 2019 Author Posted April 11, 2019 Thanks both - sounds like the emails are in process then. There are a few dates my DD could be allocated so I'm just a bit reluctant to book anything in case we're a day out!
Creakingstool Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 I have had the email with audition time details for Manchester for my DD. Just drafted my letter to school to take in after the holidays. 2
Astrid Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 We have had our date and times for Birmingham, I can’t remember when we got it, maybe Friday? we had to confirm it by end of this week through our log in on the website x 2
AllAboutTheJourney Posted April 11, 2019 Author Posted April 11, 2019 Hmm, now wondering if I've missed it somehow or if it is just later given that she is auditioning in London which is the final centre. Thanks - will look into it.
Balletboo Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 We are also still waiting for audition date for London so I don’t think you’ve missed anything. 1
Astrid Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 I wouldn’t have thought you would have missed anythinf Waverley as London is end of May isn’t it - I know because we couldn’t do it as it clashed with her dance show. ours is May 3rd so almost a month earlier. I think they must do them in stages.. makes me realise how long we will have to wait for results by being first 🤦🏼♀️😅 x 2
AllAboutTheJourney Posted April 11, 2019 Author Posted April 11, 2019 Thanks both - yes not till end of May so there's plenty time. Just me trying to get organised as soon as possible... I can't even think what the wait for results must be like...! 😂
balletboy8 Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Today, received date and time for audition at Eastleigh. May 13th @ 2-3 pm for a Y4 audition. The email mentions that times are based on age so not sure if it matters but DS is a September baby 😊 1
Twirlygirl09 Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 Hi, we have had audition confirmation email today for Bath for year 6, on 22/05! It was a “no” last year, so keeping everything crossed this year! 1
balletboy8 Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 Hi Twirlygirl - very best of luck for this time!

Jan McNulty Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 Hello Twirlygirl09 and welcome to the Forum! 1
Pointeshoesarethedream Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 We received our email for Leeds on Friday for 17th May. The 1st Leeds date (10th May) has been cancelled. I can’t remember if it was the email itself or the code of conduct document that said results would be out in June. 1

We’ll see you there
Balletmumlife Posted April 20, 2019 Posted April 20, 2019 I have a little 7 year old who is auditioning on the last London day. Not sure how much chance a young year 3 has, but we are giving it a shot! Good luck to everyone auditioning! Xx 1
AllAboutTheJourney Posted April 20, 2019 Author Posted April 20, 2019 Hi all - have now received email for DD’s audition, she is on the last day of the London auditions as well. Same here @pinkbex81 - tiny little 7 year old who is only just old enough to audition but it will be a fun day out anyway and all good experience! 1

Just old enough to audition but looking forward to the extra opportunity to dance and enjoy the experience 😀 2
Flora11 Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 You might be pleasantly surprised, all of you with 7 year olds! My very inexperienced August born dd was a ‘Rising 8’ (as RBS referred to them!) at the auditions a fair few years ago and surprised everyone by being offered a place! She had the best three years as a JA. Good luck to all the little ones. Enjoy your special dancing day out! 3
Astrid Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Good luck to everyone auditioning, we have ours on Friday, we could possibly be one of the first centres? still can’t quite believe we are doing this (😅) but I’ll let you all know any info I can get out of DD afterwards! I’m more bothered than DD who is delighted she is missing a day of school for ballet.. 4
AllAboutTheJourney Posted April 29, 2019 Author Posted April 29, 2019 How exciting - good luck to your DD and all auditioning over the next few weeks. My DD's audition is the very last day so I hadn't quite appreciated it was starting so soon - she has ballet exams and a competition before the JA audition so it's going to be a busy month! Hope all the girls and boys who are trying out have a lovely time at the audition - it sounds like a fun experience for them no matter what happens. 1
Creakingstool Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Next Wednesday for my DD, Manchester year 6. I think she will be nervous, she is going into school for a couple of hours in the morning and I think that will take her mind off it a bit. First time doing anything like this for her but she is looking forward to it. She also has a violin exam on the Friday of the same week, typical that these things come at the same time!! Good luck everyone. 1
Dancing unicorn Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 My little student is Friday, Birmingham for a yr5 place! 🍀
PutYourBooteesOn Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 Group 1 tomorrow for my DD.... SWL last year but not holding much hope for this! 1
Dancing unicorn Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 (edited) Good luck everyone 🍀 Edited April 29, 2019 by Dancing unicorn

She had a fantastic time, thanks. she thoroughly enjoyed it and felt she’d done her best, all we can ask of them, isn’t it.... just the long wait now! @Astrid good luck DD for today. @Dancing unicorn hope today goes well for your student! 2
Dancing unicorn Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Ahh thank you - heard from mum to say she was so excited this morning. She was certainly very calm in class last night 😁 1
