Here is the link to take a look- https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/256841948/gemstone-and-crystal-ballet-charm?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=gemstone%20and%20crystal%20charm%20ballerina%20bracelet&ref=sr_gallery_2
  10. No news, must be some tough decisions being made! The wait continues....
  11. It is hard for them at such a young age to manage the knocks but I think you can reassure her that she clearly has plenty of talent and lots of potential to be selected for 2 top quality associate programmes. Imagine how many children tried and were unsuccessful where she was one of the few selected. Also, from what I hear and read it seems that all of the main vocational schools look for slightly different qualities in a dancer so what's a match for Elmhurst may not be right for RBS etc and at the next audition she may well be selected where her friends may not be. It's all swings and roundabouts! Dancers all have their unique qualities and determination and resilience is quite high up the list of prerequisites for dc and their parents. I would let her know that was only her first audition and what you learn from a setback can be a great deal more than getting a yes first time. Could be nerves even? I would tell her to put it down to experience and use everything from that to go into the next audition with head held high and do her best. That's all you can ask. Best of luck to her for next audition!
  12. Yes we have also had good news just now! Good luck to all, they must be working through a very long list.
  13. I believe that's the case. If not recalled tomorrow then it's the end of the process. That's what happened when dd auditioned anyway! It's a multi stage nail biting process. Dd loved being part of it, fantastic experience and run by brilliant people. Good luck everyone! The audition is fun too so they will enjoy it.
  14. Hi all, apologies for random request. I thought the wealth of experienced parents on here may be able to help. My dd has seen girls wearing black footless/stirrup ballet tights over their leotards and the don't have a gusset! I can find them nowhere and am wondering if such a thing can be bought? Any ideas? She's keen to wear them for an upcoming audition. Thanks all.
  15. I've heard an interesting theory on why young Australian and NZ dancers are particularly strong. An Aus parent explained that because they are so far away geographically from Europe they feel pressure to train dancers exceptionally hard so they are not behind when they arrive in Europe/northern hemisphere for auditions/competitions/summer schools etc! Infact what seems to have happened is that they are so thoroughly prepared/trained that they arrive and discover they are often stronger than their European competition. Just a bit of hearsay but does make some sense.
  16. That is strange! Dd went to white lodge SS this year as dates worked out fine with school holidays but have just checked and that wouldn't be the case for SS2016.
  17. Just saw this on the RBS website- How to apply – please note, applications for full-time training, Mid & Senior Associates will re-open on 7th September 2015.

  19. Yes Jenna choreographed Snow White for LCB this year and did such a brilliant job that they have asked her back again to do Little Lord Fauntleroy for 2016!
  20. I'm assuming once school returns in September as The website says applications close in November 2015 with London auditions in Jan 2016 for yr 7 girls.
  21. That's so great to hear! My DD is keen to take part in LCB summer school next year, sounds busy but fun and friendly.
  22. Congrats to the new JAs they will have a brilliant time! Regarding the numbers who audition, you can use last years annual report as a guide. In 2014, 294 girls auditioned for London JAs and 28 were offered a place. 45 boys auditioned and 15 were given a place. A great achievement!
