  1. Thinking about you and hoping they have both had a good day x
  2. Yes they have been in the past but some shuffling between groups usually happens quite quickly
  3. Yes it's lovely to read all the good news - well done everyone x
  4. I think the ballet finals were made up of one contestant each from Elmhurst , ENB, Tring , Central and KS Dance ( the only female).
  5. That sounds very strange and perhaps those on the list should speak to the school themselves. It does happen with dada places on 6th form but obviously these students are old enough to live independently in Tring, however those on mds would obviously need boarding unless they lived locally.
  6. Three boys and one girl I believe - huge congrats to all
  7. No , I never said anyone had criticised the teaching? Just nice to see some positive news from Tring after the criticism it has been having , not just on the recent thread but in the one reposted from a few years ago.
  8. Yes two Tring pupils have Rbs upper school which is good news considering the criticism Tring had taken in the forum lately. Huge well done to both
  9. My understanding is that some students are offered a place but not invited to the funding audition - so they can attend if they can afford the fees. I believe that everyone who attends funding audition either gets a dada offer or is put on reserve list. This may of course have changed but that was the case a couple of years ago.
  10. We received child benefit during 6:1 and 6:2 whilst doing A levels and diploma in dance but not in 6:3
  11. If you search , you should find other threads about this - my dd has lived off site for the last three years so yes you can
  12. The CAT scheme in Birmingham has a South Asian strand and you can view the details on the dancexchange website.
  13. Yes our experience was the same a couple of years ago - they rotated 3 groups between class ( on stage in the theatre) , physio and a tour of accommodation off site. Good luck !
  14. The current 6:3 were assessed before the thresholds changed but there are still students on mds in that year who will leave this summer.
  15. There are also those leaving 6:3 that have carried their mds through to upper school
  16. I'm pretty sure that Wolverhampton Grand has one -I vaguely remember comments being made about how difficult it was for the children to adjust in an EYB performance when they only had one rehearsal on stage.

    Lucky

Wishing her loads of luck today and with the rest of her auditions x
  18. Yes and I know of several who gained places at Tring , central , Elmhurst , Enb , northern and btuk. I have sent you a pm Irish ballet mom but don't worry about 16 being too late
  19. There have been students we know offered full time places who ticked associate box only and students auditioning for full time only offered associate places so I really wouldn't worry
  20. Not necessarily - I know many students who just trained locally a couple of times a week and gained funded places at upper school. It's about quality not quantity.

I'm sure Sheila is fine - she has been actively posting on her fb this week x
  22. Think it was under 17 but if I remember right you can't have taken your adv 2 so we had to do it in the qualifying year as she was due to take her adv 2 later in the year.
  23. It is worthwhile and we really enjoyed the day - think my dd was one of only 2 non vocational that entered that year. The extra costs were travel and stay in London as had to be there very early, private coaching for the solos and we had to purchase a tutu skirt but would do it all again!
