  1. My dd did Birmingham CAT for 2 years alongside her ballet training before going away to vocational school. It was a very positive experience. Please feel free to pm with any questions.
  2. [quote name="drdance" post="62286" timestamp=" "To be in a production, EYB and MTB offer brilliant performance experience but are both pricey" Having had experience of both EYB and MTB, I would disagree that they are pricey . MTB provide two and a half hours per week of first class teaching from top teachers in the profession in amazing studios. There are four spectacular performances where all pupils have a lot of stage time. Amazing costumes and sets combined with testing choreography and Pas de deux for the older students. At £25 a lesson I would say its a bargain.
  3. You still get child benefit on dada if you do a levels too
  4. No they are optional . If they have dada funding they have to do the diploma in dance regardless of whether they are doing A levels .
  5. 6.1 is the first year of 6th form but I didn't know if you were already in 6th form x
  6. That's lovely I honestly don't think doing A levels in the morning has had any detrimental affect on her dancing. They do enough dancing for the rest of the day to keep them progressing. So pleased to hear your dd has been placed in the classical set x
  7. You can always wait till January auditions swanprincess? Which year group are you auditioning for 6.1 or 6.2?
  8. That's lovely to hear. I know what you mean about missing ballet in morning for a levels ..,we had that conversation too! X

  10. Good luck to everyone with casting x
  11. The ballet class was about an hour, finalists were announced and then the final was a couple of hours later. Results are then announced at the end of the day. If I remember right, we had to be there about 12 and were there till about 7. It is well worth going x
  12. We have done this several times and its a really nice day. I think they may be changing venue next February though ? Good luck! Edited to add- they do a class on stage and yes you can watch !
  13. I think this has been asked on here recently but yes my daughter was a princess and tsars sister x

  21. Tring was a 60 second solo. Swanprincess - dd said to tell you she did do it en pointe but lots did contemporary pieces in bare feet x
