  1. So sorry, but ROH shop does not send orders to the Czech Republic, even if I am Friends+. I'll have to wait for Amazon.
  2. Paris Opera ballet principal dancer Hugo Marchand published his book "Danser" at 28 and another principal dancer Germain Louvet "Des choses quise dansent" at 29. So it's high time for Vadim's book 😄
  3. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the new season, I'm not very interested in tripps, but Don Q, Manon and Swan Lake made me very happy, maybe even Winter's Tale. In conjunction with the ballet season of the Paris Opera, which also brings Manon, Swan Lake (Nureyev) and Dona Q (Nureyev) and La fille mal gardée, I cannot be displeased!
  4. And here is a link to an interview with Vadim Muntagirov, also from last year's Bajadera in Brno: Now on Saturday Vadim Muntagirov and Fumi Kaneko will be guests in Brno at the Ballet Galla (pdd Le Corsaire) and next weekend 2x at the Balanchine triple bill (Tschaikovsky's Pas de deux).
  5. All ballet performances at the Palais Garnier tend to be sold out. Not only because of the ballet, but also because people want to see the Garnier building, which is beautiful and unique.
  6. Food and drink are not allowed in the auditoriums of the National Theater and the State Opera in Prague. Coats and luggage must be left in the cloakroom. There is no way that anyone would place these things under a seat in the auditorium.
  7. I'm really looking forward to the new costumes and sets. They will definitely be beautiful. And the element of surprise is a good idea from the side of dramaturgy.
  8. I go to London from Prague for the ROH ballet performance almost every month and I always try to see various London attractions. I have already visited the British Museum, the National Gallery, the Sherlock Holmes Museum, Harrods, Westminster Abbey, Notting Hills. I can recommend all of this. I would like to see the Sky Garden when I visit Cinderella on April 5th.
  9. Sabine, thank you for posting my post. I believed that someone might be interested, but I only had time to upload it on IG. ❀❀❀
  10. Vadim canceled his participation in the Gala a long time ago, yet the organizers still mention him in promotional materials.
  11. I'm curious who will actually attend the Gala. For example, Vadim Muntagirov will not be there.
  12. 2022 for me: Februar La Bayadére Gala in Brno, Czech Republic with Yasmine Naghdi, Fumi Kaneko and Vadim Muntagirov. For me the first opportunity to see world ballet stars live. March Swan Lake in Brno again, and again Vadim Muntagirov. Amazing experience! April Munich and Coppélia with great Shale Wagman. Juni Wiener Staatsoper and Nureyev Gala, the most interestng for me Friedemann Vogel in Mahler's Songs of the Wandering Journeyman. Stuttgart and my first meeting with Mayerling - with Fiedemann Vogel' s Prince Rudolph. Juli L' Opéra National de Paris, Giselle with Myriam Ould Braham, Germain Louvet and an amazing technically perfect corp de ballet. September London and Nureyev Legend and Legacy, the chance to see a number of world ballet stars. October Berlin, Giselle and unique Daniil Simkin. L' Opéra National de Paris, the second time Mayerling, finally live see Dorothée Gilbert and especially Hugo Marchand. November London, ROH, for the third time Mayerling, this time with Vadim Muntagirov, a breathtaking experience and for me the absolute TOP 2022. I live in Prague in Czech Republic, so for me attending ballet performances means planning tickets, flights, hotels... But I don' t regret anything and IŽm already looking forward to 2023.
  13. On the POB website already is the new casting for the role of Prince Siegfried for all performances - G. Diop, P. Marque, M. Moreau, P. Legasa and Jean-Loup Quer.
  14. After carefully reading all the posts, it is clear what the majority opinion is. And yes, every opinion is valuable, but the fact that it is the only one probably indicates something. At Mayerling is story important. And the story is about a person whose despair and inner unhappiness lead to a tragic end. And in my opinion, the interpretation of Vadim in London (and Hugo Marchand in Paris) corresponded best.
  15. Last Friday I saw Mayerling in Paris (Gilbert and Marchand), there were no accidents, no falling beard, no guns misfire 😃 and the performance of the dancers was really grea and breathtaking. On November 11, I will see Vadim Muntagirov in London. I am very much looking forward to the possibility of comparing both productions 😉
  16. I am really happy that this year I saw Mayerling in Stuttgart with Friedann Vogl, in October I will see Hugo Marchand in Paris and in November in London Vadim Muntagirov. This is how I dreamed it. As you can see, dreams sometimes come true.
  17. I came with my friends to this gala from Prague and we were really excited about the performance on Tuesday evening. It was a unique opportunity for us to see so many excellent ballet artists in one place. It was an amazing experience for us. And after the show, other fans and I were at the stage door. All the performers were extremely nice and it was very pleasant to meet them.
  18. Thank you very much for the tip, I have now bought a ticket for Giselle on 14/10 with Evelina Godunova and Daniil Simkin. I'm really looking forward to a trip to Berlin!
  19. And what about the stage door at gala concerts, such as Nureyev - Legend and Legacy at the Royal Drury Lane Theatre? There are also very expensive tickets on sale, which include refreshments and meeting and taking photos with the artists. Is it possible to wait for the artists at the stage door after the performance or is it unrealistic?
  20. Yes, it should be the same performance as in Kromeriz. Unfortunately, this event had no publicity, I found out about it the day before and could not participate. I already have tickets for the December show in Prague and I'm looking forward to it.
  21. Yes, it is a large company and the soloists and choir are of a high standard. Before the holidays, they presented Giselle at the Palais Garnier and Balanchin's A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Opera Bastille simultaneously in one evening. I was lucky enough to see both performances (in two evenings, of course) and they were both great.
