  1. Thank you Janet. I don't think I had seen Brandon Lawrence dance before and this is great.
  2. Sander has decided to finish his interviews. Sander said at the end of the last one that he had reached out to everyone he was able to and not everyone wanted to do it and now he felt it's time end. I have really enjoyed them and appreciate his taking the time to do this.
  3. Thank you Jeannette for your reviews, I would not have watched this without your recommendation and I thought it was very good I could really 'see the music'.
  4. This just came up on my news feed. Scottish Ballet the Fairy's Kiss by MacMillian
  5. Apologies if this is posted elsewhere. Dance Theatre of Harlem Virtual Ballet Series This week, our Virtual Ballet Series continues with the online premiere of Darrell Grand Moultrie’s challenging tour de force, Vessels on Saturday, June 13th at 8pm. Vessels draws on the energy and artistry of a new generation of Dance Theatre of Harlem artists. Growing up in Harlem, Moultrie often watched performances at Dance Theatre of Harlem. Being able to recognize himself while looking at all of the dancers of color influenced the choreographer that Moultrie is today. Moultrie is a part of a long legacy of Black men creating ballets, passing forward the knowledge and inspiration that underlie his dynamic choreography. Vessels Schedule of Events: Thursday, June 11th Inside Vessels at 8pm Watch a conversation with DTH’s Artistic Director Virginia Johnson and Vessels choreographer Darrell Grand Moultrie on his inspiration behind Vessels, how Darrell began choreographing and more on our YouTube and Facebookchannels. 8. DTH Legacy Alert: Creole Giselle Extension We were so moved by the impact that Creole Giselle has had on so many of you that we’ve decided to extend the streaming time on our YouTube channel until 11:59pm EDT on Wednesday, June 10th. This is a great time to share Arthur Mitchell’s radical masterwork with your friends, family, and students alike. In a time where a diverse dance world is so greatly needed, our Creole Giselle shows you that it is possible. Thank you for support of this magnificent work.
  9. Thank you, very interesting and sad reading.

  11. Just read this, the Korean plan looks interesting. https://www.classicfm.com/artists/royal-opera-house/collapse-in-autumn-needs-theatre-recovery-plan/
  12. Having not watched anything yesterday the morning started for me with SJD (Shobana Jeyasingh Dance). This week some extracts form her work Strange Blooms is being streamed. It starts and ends with discussion. I found this a riveting piece. The Dance is from 3.19 to 19.20.
  13. Like wise this is a beautiful and heartbreaking poem by Joseph Sissions. If you saw 'Men at the Barre' on BBC4 recently you would have seen him talk about his early experience of racism.
  14. I remember that evening, what a fantastic, beautiful and moving performance it was. Unlike you I had already seen the cinema screening and I remember at the time thinking that what I appreciated from front row amphitheatre was being able to see the whole pattern of chorus and main story tellers, they worked together so well. I had also wondered having seen it up close in the cinema if the emotion would register all the way back and up in the amphitheatre and I felt it did. Who knows when theatres will open again and like you ChrisG I long to be back . I felt in this last season that I was seeing a golden time for the royal ballet and how wonderful that was.
  15. Sander does interviews every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7pm. I have just found out how to access the previous 4, I took a picture to show people but it won't let me upload it so I will try to describe it. In Instagram search for Sander's page. About third down are 3 symbols, the middle one is the IGTV one if you click on that you get all his uploads for the last 10 days or so. The IGTV symbol is a square with and arial on the top and a lightening in the middle.

  20. Hopefully it will be on iplayer so there will could be a bit of time to see it. And thank you.
  21. I too thought Nora was wonderful. I saw it live when ENB did She Persisted and I got the programme out it re re read. I think it made much more sense to me second time around. I loved the music and the 'chorus' dancing Nora's feelings. I wish ENB steamed for a bit longer, still good to have anything at all to see.
  22. Royal Ballet: The Nutcracker Sky Arts Sky:122 Virgin:123 BT:348 Fri 5 Jun 7:00am-9:00am (2 hours) No information yet on who is dancing this.
