    Thanks! 65 comes to mind. They haven't said there will be a cull after the technique class. DD has audition call back 1 and then call back 2 to attend - not sure if that's the same for everyone???

    Are you sure it's her hair stuff? My DD gets those spots admittedly, more on her forehead and my beautician thinks it's wearing make up and dancing that's causing sweat spots. She advised a mineral make up. Good luck for school!!

    Sorry to tag my question on the end here but I think there are some links. I wanted to know which was better GCSE Dance or Btec and if DD has the opportunity to do both (at separate schools) is this advisable? Thanks

    Moreexcited. ..the fees are for the whole year. Does anybody know when the students will find out their roles? Do they have emails over the summer or have to wait until September? Thanks in advance.

    Thank you everybody so much for all of your advice - it is much clearer now about where she can apply and when. The other thing that I find is it's much easier to have difficult conversations along the lines of - you might get in and not be able to go because of funding - when I say that we're having this conversation because of advice from this forum. It's more like people who know are saying it than just me! I find it so difficult to have conversations with many other parents - dancing and non dancing as I just know that they are looking at me and thinking - she's deluded! We know it's tough, she doesn't want to be the next Darcey Bussell, she is just passionate about ballet and is prepared to work hard to get where she wants to be and we're prepared for the knock backs along the way. I think that we have a plan b, c and d now. We don't need to audition for a couple more years but for all the reasons mentioned I knew that we needed to get organised. I have now got a notebook with all the names mentioned and everything that you've said so we can see the wood from the trees! Thank you all so much for sharing your expertise and experiences.
