DS friends at Tring have just gained 4 As at AS level and the other 3 As and a B . Subjects available are many , including such as photography and other less usual ones as well as all the English , languages , humanities , sciences , Art and more . Both these students are pursuing either MT or dance courses . My DS has dropped to 2 A levels in order to do more dance classes . They certainly seem to manage academics and vocational training very well at Tring. Elmhurst were very helpful and said that DS might be able to study physics elsewhere , although they didn't offer it at A level

One very happy DS returning to Tring ! On the train with me now and will be staying at St Francis again with the amazing Miss Hoole . All to best to you Tringalings for the coming year Tutugirl x

Meant to add - he is classical through and through , ( realise that there would prob be contemporary too - but keen to avoid jazz / tap if possible ! )

Any help appreciated. My DS enjoyed 4 1/2 weeks in Hong Kong this year , but next year would like to try a different country . Could anyone recommend one that is either a week or 2 weeks please ? Particularly good for boys ? Thank you Tutugirl

I'm sure there will be the 2 moorlands boys there . They are in year 11 and year. 12 . I have a young boy ( pupil. ) there aged 10 , and Mr and Mrs Kidds sons are generally there . By now he will have found out though , I guess !

I have a cancellation on my Summer School in the Advanced group . 17 th -22nd August . It's West Yorks but we offer residential . Small groups (under 16 per group ) excellent faculty and very reasonable ! Pm if interested Yitugirl

Yes I watched on Friday , as had a former pupil there . Pleased to say she looked fabulous . I really enjoyed the demo - wish it had been longer ( which is always a good thing. ! ) I shall be there next Friday too Haggis ! Have you got 1 , 2 or 3 taking part ? X

If I heard the music I would remember it ! Wasn't there a balancees ( spell check ! ) step soutenu section ? The last bit was : chassee coupe chassee temps leve , right , then left , followed by step turn step with sort of Spanish feel 4 th arms . Pose turn , soutenu something or other at the end . Incorrect spellings but I'm sure it'll make sense to you hbrew !!!

2 of my pupils have previously gained places off waiting lists . Both for year 5 if I remember correctly . It would be interesting to know how short the list actually is . I hope you are successful in gaining a place

Yes got Leeds . I put 5 pupils in this year - 2 yes , 2 waiting list and a no . Very happy with that . All the best to those still waiting .

Not a casting question , but are the EYB venues for the end of this year and for 2016 announced yet. ? Can only find Buxton and Stevenage online

I watched Giselle 3 times . I loved it . The children , I think seemed to all get equal opportunities - there were a few awarded solos , but otherwise pretty even I thought . My child made great progress and really benefitted from the corrections . We would repeat . Maybe ' dance on point ' you aren't talking about Giselle , Bradford . I obviously can't comment on other productions .

I am so thrilled for you . You have had a lot of set backs , but have always remained positive . No I'm not . I have my own dance school summer school . We have 5 groups of 16 or less per group . Vocational and non vocational .
