  1. Also wanted to give feedback for the Woodside dance retreat Summer School . What can I say ? Just 8 students - being taught by Ed Watson , David Yow and Sarah Wildor . Nicola and Simon Moriarty opened up their beautiful home , and made a welcoming family atmosphere . Aside from the personal tuition - the evenings included a limousine theatre trip and a visit from a gym coach . DS finally did a 'flip ' happy days . Yes it is expensive - but actually great value for money . I have observed summer schools where the classes are full , and some children overlooked without a single personal correction . I can genuinely see the improvement in my DS and he has had his self esteem boosted too . Definitely consider this one - although I'm not sure if they are already full for next year . Thank you Nicola and team xx
  2. Thank you all so much . It's been a wonderful week and I'm so proud of the students for what they have achieved . I will flag up the dates for next year as soon as I can ( so we don't clash with Moorlands ! ) I shall keep class sizes small - and priority will be given to students who have previously attended . Now to start planning next year's choreography !! Tutugirl x
  3. Well - I'm pleased to say that my summer school classes are capped at 12 this year ! Look forward to seeing you all next week xx
  4. If anyone is still looking for a late place - I have spaces in 2 of my groups . Week 15 th - 20 th . Performances on the Saturday . Please refer to last years' testimonials from Harwel , Kiwimum , Oldermum and Yorkshire Pud etc . I have students from White Lodge , Elmhurst , Tring , Hammond and non vocational . I'm delighted that we have 6 boys in the upper groups , and that there are no more than 12 in each group in total . Please PM me if interested Tutugirl
  5. I just wanted to congratulate the staff and students on a fantastic show . Last night's performance was phenomenal . The Broadway theme made for a varied and thoroughly entertaining programme , which showcased the students according to their strengths . It is refreshing that this course exists in Leeds , and that it is no longer necessary to train in London . The 3 year course in either dance or musical theatre , has produced the ' triple threat ' performers who looked confident and ready to go out auditioning . Some have already secured contracts . Students are also encouraged to take their teaching qualification whilst in year 3 . I would actively encourage anyone considering this line of training to go and see for yourselves . Fabulous and affordable training in the North of England . Happy 5 th anniversary Renaissance !
  6. Congratulations ! Some great talent in that year - she will have a wonderful time . Did you watch masterclass yesterday Angel ? It was really good x

    Moorland

I know that the training at Moorlands is excellent and I believe their first graduate has secured a good contract . The classes are very small , so individual attention is excellent - in a caring family type environment . Do go and have a look - you can't fail to be impressed
  12. I still have places on mine for 12 year old . Mainly ballet . Some jazz / tap / vocals . 15 th Aug - 20 th Aug Either residential or non if you look at West Yorkshire summer school thread - you might read some accolades from Kiwimum , Harwel and others . PM me for details of you're interested . Tutugirl

  18. My DS is on the full time course at Renaissance . Highly recommend the training . It's tough - not for the faint heated - but so is the industry . I have a few pupils in the scholars class - I think the audition consisted of a ballet and a jazz class . I can make further inquiries Turugirl
