  9. I'm puzzled . I wonder if I need to delete some messages . Seemed ok yesterday . I will try to pm you
  10. Cornishprincess - I did - but can't do anything til Tuesday as off to London to see DS x
  11. Thank you all for your kind comments . I welcome both vocational children and those who dance for a serious hobby . We are careful how we group the children , ensuring they are in ability level for classical , and age appropriate classes for optional jazz / mt classes . I don't want to put a link , as I like to keep a little anonymity - but please do pm me with a contact number , and I will call you with pleasure x
  12. Our Summer School will be held in Keighley , West Yorkshire . August 17 th - 22 nd . Performance on the Saturday . Classical ballet , contemporary , pas de deux and pointe work . Small groups - placed according to ability . Faculty include 2 guest teachers from the Hammond , former soloist BRB and various other specialists in their genre . Please pm me if requiring details . You can read other forum members comments from last year - apparently we are ' up there ' with Elmhurst and Hammond summer schools . Tutugirl
  13. I think we got an email followed by a letter . The yes emails were sent in the morning , reserves in afternoon and presumably no the next day . I'm only saying what happened last year !!! Don't envy you the waiting game
  14. My DS attended last year . He is in advanced 2 . He goes to Tring . He went to Elmhurst , Moorlands and my own summer school . He loved all of them .
  15. A Tring boy got into classical final I'm fairly sure
  16. My DS is there . Which school is your DD from Macnatt ? I am not watching but I will get some feedback which I can relay . All the best anyone competing . Do remember it's a great honour to be chosen - as each vocational school can only send 10 students
  17. Don't under estimate Tring for classical - it also offers a great choice of A levels .
  18. Kiwimum - your DS did brilliantly to recover - and it happens to the best of dancers !! Out of interest - of the 11 finalists : 5 Tring 2 ENB 2 Elmhurst 1 non vocational 1 - I'm not sure. - maybe also non voc . I thought the adjudicators were spot on , and it was indeed a lovely day - my only negative comment would be that people wandered in and out of the auditorium , with little regard for people dancing - whilst the music was still playing .
  19. Congratulations to all the dancers who took part in the Molly Lake Award today , I really enjoyed watching , especially the solos . Did anyone else off the forum go today. ?
  20. I recommend Susan Robinson school x
  21. Please pm me if you like . My DS is Tring 6 . 1 . Everything there is wonderful. Another student started last week , for drama course - so she won't be the only Newbie ! Don't panic ! She just needs to go ! Everything else will fall into place and she will love it . Fabulous A level choices too x
  22. No , not auditioning, but might be there as it's Tring bonfire night and their fireworks are spectacular ! Best of luck for the audition x
  23. I can only say that my DS is doing 3 - and his friend 4 . On top of this they do IPS which is compulsory , I believe . Some people are only doing 1 or 2 A levels . Your DD could start with. 3 and drop one at As level perhaps ? Maybe worth calling the school . DS is absolutely loving 6 . 1 at Tring - it's really hard work but a great place to do it . Pm me if you need any info x
