  1. Hi - is this girls or boys ? Or both ? Thanks tutugirl
  2. Yes swan princess the sixth form is new in the school and there are year 11 ballet students who will be staying on to do A levels . Yes I agree , Primrose , fees are reasonable by comparison .
  3. They do run an Easter course , which was a great success ( several of my pupils attended ) and a summer school . Two of my pupils are in full time vocational training there - they are loving it . The setting is idyllic - academic class sizes small - I may be wrong. , but capped at 16 I think . The dance classes are really small groups , as the ballet course is in it's infancy , so the pupils make rapid progress . If you are considering vocational school , and are classical rather than musical theatre , then I would urge you to take a look x
  4. Morning - just wondered if anyone from the forum is going on Sunday ? We will be at the advanced class and really looking forward to watching x
  5. My pupil was offered an mds at year 7 and she did not play a musical instrument . She did a contemporary solo x
  6. Hi there - my DS is hoping to take 3 A levels at Tring - including photography . Can't speak highly enough of every aspect of the school . Any questions please pm me if you like x
  7. Congratulations Osmum . At last you can make plans . Great news !
  8. My dance school is hosting a summer school in Keighley . Dates are 18 th - 22 nd august . Faculty from Hammond school and a former dancer from Northern Ballet Theatre . It can be residential ( with a host family ) or not . For advanced students it is predominantly classical - repertoire , pas de deux , ballet and contemporary . For younger students it is more varied . We put on a small show in the theatre on the Friday night . Most of the older children are coming from vocational schools , but all are welcome , if of a good standard .I prefer to communicate by pm if possible.I would love to welcome some forum members' children .NB the advanced group is nearly full .
  9. Where is your dd accepting , Moneypenny. ? Or would you prefer not to say. ?
  10. Well I do know of someone turning down Rambert , as they are accepting a place with a dada , rather than a student loan . So it does happen . Hang on in there , those still on reserve lists - I'm sure things are starting to move
  11. Pendley Manor is fab if you want to push the boat out ( they give discount for Tring parents too ) otherwise we used premier inn at Hemel .
  12. Welcome to this forum . I remember you from BBO at Elm . I cannot pm you - don't know why - but if you pm me I can reply that way . I have several suggestions in your area
  13. I can only echo the sentiment of my previous post - that Tring has been fantastic for my DS - both in dance and academic . The pastoral care is great too , and he is a confident articulate young man . He absolutely loves it - seldom phones me up as he is too busy ! This week he is playing in 2 bands , in music showcase . They certainly produce well rounded individuals !
  14. I know of a few on Rambert reserve , also Central . There will be a lot of movement soon , and some surprised and delighted DC s . Hang on in there everyone ! Only this morning I heard of someone who got offered 4 different schools - so obviously that person can only accept one place - hence 3 more places will be offered of the relevant reserve lists .
  15. Thank you flutterby x
  16. That is most kind . Thank you very much x
  17. Regarding the Rambert audition on Monday - I might have to take one of my pupils down . Does anyone know the time of the audition , and the nearest station please ? The parent can't get the info up on her computer and I have only this little phone .
  18. At the ENB finals I would estimate that about a third were from UK . There were , I think 25 boys in the final . Obviously I have no knowledge of who was accepted - although there doesn't seem to be much news on the forum about any ENB offers for uk students . ( except Kat09 - congratulations ! ) Goldfish - congratulations too - I am not sure where you reside . As flutterby says - ENB is a top school internationally , and is bound to attract / select the best students from each country . I would be interested to hear if anyone knows someone who gained a place this year .
