  1. He's not retiring. Last night was the final time Avis was cast as Rothbart in this run and, as we all know, this production is being replaced.
  2. Marquez is on that evening. I've got Lamb, Takada and Choe on my list (the last being a sizzle in the pan).
  3. We left just before 2150 last night, though the intervals ran a little longer than they should (probably because of the patrons' event).
  4. If you're on the right of the auditorium, use the stairs just past the lifts. Or, if there's nothing going on in the mezzanine rooms, just walk through the mezz.
  5. My postings (number 5 & 9) contain information that is in the public domain. It's noted in the latest Ballet Association newsletter which is available on their website for all to read.
  6. Well the only AJYD for next year I'm aware of as being in the public domain is Harry Churches. I don't thing the AJYD programme will replace direct employment into the company and O'Hare is on the record as saying so.
  7. Try our very own Dave Morgan (zxDaveM)
  8. I just looked at the red balloons (thankfully not 99 of them).
  9. Nearest ones to Chiswick are (according to ROH website): Odeon & Curzon in Richmond Olympic Cinema, Barnes Odeon, Putney Vue, Shepherd's Bush Green Cue, Westfield Vue, Fulham Odeon, Kensington
  10. One would hope so, given three performances scheduled on successive evenings. Personally, I hope RB management have put their collective foot down and insisted that McG has a *fully rehearsed* second cast AND covers (I don't want to see cancellations of the whole piece as we had with Two Tractors).
  11. Before everyone gets too excited about students taking the amphi for Woolf Works, let's remember there's an upcoming Swan Lake which has the amphi reserved for students (18 March) and there are two operas this season where the amphi is/was reserved for students and one where the whole house was so reserved. I've been in attendance on such evenings before and the place is thronging with young, excited people. Let's also remember that schemes such as this are a requirement of the ACE funding.
  12. I've moved the original posting for this thread into the thread already started for this booking period: here
  13. I don't think it's ever said TBC for Cuthbertson's Swan Lake. From what she has said on social media, I don't think she will be dancing in Swan Lake.
  14. I didn't know Paul Kay's mother was appearing on Broadway! Joking aside, I (for one) would much prefer Leanne Cope to be referred to by that name and not by reference to her husband. Not sure whether you're trying to compliment Paul Kay or Leanne Cope with the reference (or both) but I find it rather insulting to Ms Cope. I also think it's a bit "insider" and, accordingly, somewhat distasteful.
