amos73
HI I know there was post on here a while back about aliens taking all the hairpins or something, which I can't find?! Every Boots I have been to doesn't sell them anymore, truly does appear there has been an alien invasion. Could anyone point me in direction of good online source? DD doesn't like the bunheads pins btw. Thanks!
Dancing unicorn
Hi Yes Im having same problem here! DD likes the ones from Primark - think it was £1 for 30. I usually buy hairnets (10 packs of 3 at a time!) from Starlite, but unfortunately their hair pins not good! I did ask an assistant at Boots before Xmas about it (pulling one from my hair!) And she said they were reviewing it after Xmas and to go to Claires!! Well thanks for that!! So if anyone knows a good supplier, I too would like to know. Thanks Edited February 16, 2017 by Dancing unicorn
DancingShoes
They are £1 for 40 in Primark and come in 3 colours. I got some last week x
elfin
I got some from Superdrug which look okay (not too flimsy) but DD hasn't actually put them to the test yet. I also bought some online (probably amazon or e-bay, "molly rose" is the brand name on the pack) which are fine. I saw some in Claire's but they were the slightly shorter length which don't work as well for us.
porthesia
DD also dislikes bunhead pins. Extremely lucky that we have a local ballet shop who stock a different make.
Pointetoes
DD has very fine hair and she finds Superdrug to be the best, she finds Boots to flimsy and really dislikes bun head pins. She bulk buys hairnets from eBay.
taxi4ballet
Yes to Primark ones. I think dd had some from Tesco at one time, and they were good too.
dancefanatic
I really struggle to find blonde hairnets - Boots only ever has black or brown hairnets although they do stock blonde bun nets which I find too small for my girls. How I wish at these times they were both brunettes like me instead of blondes like their dad!
Pointetoes
dancefanatic that is why we order hairnets from eBay. The ones we buy are blonde Lion bun nets.

Sheila Beelam
We have VERY strong bun pins that are £1.50 for 10 and virtually unbendable! ???? If you want to buy some give me a ring in Wisbech shop and I'll ship at large letter postage rate, rather than our usual flat postage rate 01945 581534 Sheila x
amos73
Thanks Sheila. Are they the Bunhead pins? I've seen those on your website, but my dd doesn't get on with them unfortunately.
Pixiewoo
we tend to buy hair pins from primark and wilko, both seem to have supplies currently! however, they all seem a bit 'thick'. I used to use really fine hair pins ( the 'U' shaped ones, not the ones 'crimped' together ) and whilst clearing out a box of old jewellery etc from 'many years ago' ... found a small packet, and DD grabbed them, and loves them She's asked me to get some more fine ones ... but I never seen any anywhere! any ideas? I too bulk buy blonde lion hairnets from ebay!
Sheila Beelam
No Amos73, we do sell the Bunheads ones, but they are £3.95-4.25 for 12, depending on the size. The JB ones are a flat pin with waves down each side (which help the pin to grip the hair) x
Dancing unicorn
Hi taxi and pointetoes, thanks for tip about superdrug and tesco will try there - problem with some of them is tips come off and then they are unusable! Boots ones were great plus I always bought when on a 3 for 2!
