  1. Yes the Leeds one for me too. I would be especially keen to hear of anyone with a male perspective.
  2. I would be very interested in hearing any views on this too.
  3. In both 2018 and 2019 it was a total cast of 105 with 30 in the juniors.

Ours (for sixth form) was 1 min 20 seconds and was fine. I believe some were even a bit longer!
  5. In our experience both MDS and DADA (at two different schools) have been calculated on current year’s figures … so for Sept 2022 entry it would be based on 2021/2022 earnings.
  6. Not sure how to post a pic but it’s this one https://www.capezioeurope.com/v-neck-camisole-leotard
  7. Hi Louisa, if you google “capezio cc102 Hunter” you’ll find it in a few places. Hope this helps!
  8. This is in lovely condition as only bought during my daughter’s final year. £8 including postage.
  9. Assuming the leotard hadn’t changed (is it still Bloch cotton/spandex tank style?), I also have one available in Age 12 if anyone is struggling to get hold of one. Lots of luck to all the new starters - it’s a really lovely experience 😊
  10. It was three years ago. We asked as we had heard it had been previously done, but were firmly told it wouldn’t even be considered so happily took our MDS award!
  11. This is one of many reasons we handed back an MDS place after two years. We tried and were told it wouldn’t be possible.
  12. Degas leotard, style 9501, size 14A, colour eglantine Excellent condition as only worn for summer schools £25 including postage
  13. In your daughter’s year group there were 16 dancers and 4 drama students in the year 7 intake so I would say that’s about average. As Peanut says, this increases over the years.
  14. This leotard is a very flattering style in the colour Icicle which is a beautiful strong vibrant blue. Size adult petite, but very small fitting so would fit approx age 10-12. (My slightly smaller than average DD got it aged 12 but quickly outgrew it.) Only worn a handful of times. £25 including postage.
  15. I’m so sorry @TooTu and @Bonnie2011, but the AinslieWear has been sold.

  17. Big congratulations to all the lucky little dancers who have had good news this week and good luck to those still waiting. It’s worth remembering though that a no from RBS at this age (or any age!) does not mean a no to a successful future in classical ballet, just as a yes does not guarantee one. There are many glorious roads to the fulfilment of ballet dreams and as someone said in an earlier post, the closing of one door can lead to the opening of another 😊
  18. Haha! Our coat went missing at the last carol concert too and hasn’t been seen since!
  19. No we’ve never had a scarf. Unless they make changes next year I don’t think you’ll need one.
