    It would be nice if some shows were streamed but after the hiccups with the last stream I think they need to lower the price to £10.

    When I watched Dances at a Gathering it cast fine to my TV via Chromecast device. Yesterday's live stream would only work when I got the show up on my phone in "Desktop View" to get that click the 3 vertical dots top right of screen and select. Then I got the Chromecast device to cast) mirror my screen off my phone. The disadvantage with this is you can't switch the phone off. Last time with DaaG there was a cast Icon so I am hoping this will appear when I watch on repeat. It still needs the chromecast device though to be plugged into the smart TV. YouTube is a much easier platform to use for casting easily, but I'm guessing that ROH wouldn't be able to charge a fee using YouTube?

    I enjoyed the show last night when I eventually got the stream to cast to my TV. The usual ROH IT shambles again. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed Elite Syncopations last night, yet when I saw it in the theatre I didn't like it much. How odd?! I thought Melissa Hamilton and Paul Kay's Alaskan Rag duet was brilliant and reminded me very much of characters in The Concert. I liked Diamonds with Sarah Lamb and Ryo Hirano. Such a nice change to see it danced by someone other than Nunez. As for the DonQ pdd was it just me or did the music seem a bit slower than usual for Nunez's solo sections? Fille was absolutely joyful as was Carousel which was such a lovely piece I'm surprised it's not danced more often. Ball and Magri make a great couple. I think overall the rep was a neat balance between modern and classical. The dancers did a great job. Hats off to everyone involved in the production. Agree re Nita Rani's outfit that was just odd! Deborah Bull would have been a good compere.

    It will be up for a week BRB just told me, as it's too late now for me to watch rehearsals. I thought it was going to be a show in costume! I'll catch it tomorrow.

    I heard back from Dawid Trzensimiech and he said Polish Ballet are not showing Sleeping Beauty and were not like to stream it again sadly.

    I see Mikhail Kaniskin is leaving SS Berlin shortly. I will be sad not to see him dance again, I liked him in Onegin especially.

    I am not sure if the Polish Ballet are streaming Sleeping Beauty on 22/8 as per the calendar. It says I created the event but I haven't seen anything to say it is actually on on Saturday. I will ask Dawid on instagram and see if he replies he's usually pretty good. It is a lovely version so would be nice to see it again.

    Oh that is lovely Sabine. What ballet have you booked to see? Good they are social distancing the seats albeit a much reduced audience. It should be like a private viewing!

    Stand outs for me have been *NYCB Donizetti Variations *NYCB Allegro Brillante *Dutch National Ballet Mata Hari (also best for it's beautiful filmography) *Perm Ballet La Bayadere with Osipiva/Alexandrova Lantratov *ENB La Sylphide So many others as well it's hard to pick and choose but I have also enjoyed various snippets from The Trocks and numerous versions of Don Quixote!

    Really sad to see Delia leave but understand completely. I was lucky to see her in Swan Lake and Fille and probably lots of other shows but she is. Lovely dancer and will be greatly missed.

    I agree with Woodland Glade at being most disappointed with the ROH ballet offerings. They have been rather paltry compared to the riches shown by NYCB, Dutch NB, Perm Ballet Theatre, Mariisnky. Poor show ROH (although it does not surprise me for some reason). Anyway I have just found this DonQ tonight on YouTube - Brooklyn Mack and Lali Kandelaki not sure which company but the writing looks Georgian. Lali does a very unusual move in her fouettes at the end - see what you tin its at 1:34:10 onwards in the video, she seems to hold her leg out at 90 degrees and then whip it in in a rather pronounced slowed down way she only does it couple of times but its new to me. Then I found a delightful DonQ with lots of ballet school children dancing in it it looks really sweet! Its from teh Russian Ballet School Oralndo.

    That gala was lovely when I watched it first time it was streamed really lovely and so happy to see it again!

    Just watched the new MacGregor piece. Not impressed - not that I could ever be where his work is concerned. The dancers did their best but the style of dance was completely wrong for the music. In fact it is not really dance but gymnastics. At a time of national turmoil due to various reasons I think something to lighten the sombre mood not darken it further would have been more appropriate/welcome. It is a great pity and lost opportunity that Francesca and Cesar didn't get to dance one of the Swan Lake PDDs which they were about to debut before all of "this". Hey ho.

    A bit late to the party but WOW Donizetti Variations was amazing. Probably now one of my favourite ballets! I think I watched it 3 or 4 times LOL!

    So was I at the performance as was our very own JMcN. There was I recall quite some discussion in the interval about Hernandez - he didn't look like he quite belonged in this ballet somehow is what I recall of it! Dronina wonderful of course and James Streeter as Rothbart well he was in his element!

    Yes I found it all very dark - I increased the TV brightness which helped a bit but overall the theatre should have lit the stage mush brighter for the filming performance. That said, the best lit of the 3 pieces was Les Patineurs and what a treat it was to see Les Patineurs - I loved it! Perm really so seem to be a very nice company I have been impressed with what I have seen so far.

    I'm afraid I can't see theatres opening "as normal" until at least September 2021. Too many practicalities to overcome if we still have to social distance. All we can do is hope the scientists can find a vaccine. My friend in China says theatres are/will be allowed to open with 30% capacity but we couldn't see how that would be profitable.

    Perm's DonQ was very nice yesterday. I was impressed by the Queen of the Dryads' superb set of Italian fouettes which are fiendishly difficult and Kitri's 32+ fouettes in the gpdd were rock solid ending perfectly en pointe facing the audience. Brava to both ladies!

    Sadly NYCB social media advised me that Emeralds will not be shown in any of the final shows to be streamed 😞
