  1. For all the success the bloke Federer has had, I find him a little humble, rather than smug.
  2. I hardly ever bet, but if I do alison, I'll just have a wager on the other guy.
  3. I think RBS contribute something to their associates who travel over a certain distance, could be 50%. How far would you have to travel, it's a twelve hour day for us on a Saturday, but like has been mentioned earlier, the experience gained has to be beneficial later in life.
  4. Adidas used to be ridiculously narrow, so much so I couldn't wear their shoes / trainers, and they were supplied for free. I'd like to think they have started making shoes for everyone, but not sure. New Balance were just the opposite, nice and wide with room for a high instep, perfect for me.
  5. By going to London, it could be the best option on the day, as you just don't know where a terror attack will occur.
  6. When I had my Yamaha RD 350 I can't ever remember a car passing me.
  7. Drivers who hug the outside lane when the nearside is free, whatever speed they're doing.
  8. It certainly is horribleT4B, I had a bout a few years ago, in my knee. It was absolute agony for around four days or more, I take the lowest strength Allupurinol, but after trial and error with my food, I was lucky to find I was eating too many nuts, so I have been considering knocking the tablets on the head. The problem with gout is what causes it for one individual, might not have any effect on someone else. It's interesting when you do a little research, eg, if you suffer with gout you shouldn't eat poultry legs but the rest of the bird is fine. There are more purines in the muscle apparently, useless info for most, unless -------------????
  9. I'm not an expert but I'm I'm pretty sure gout is another form of arthritis, now that IS painful.
  10. Lisa you're still a pup at 50, but OA is not a nice thing to have, wherever it turns up. Like a lot of contact sports persons, I've had more than my share of injuries, and it's as though the arthritis is just waiting to attack the injured part. I have anti inflamms on repeat, but try not to take unless absolutely forced to, or when I'm going somewhere when I need to be fit, such as a holiday etc etc. The strange thing is, you just never know when it's going to rear it's ugly head and strike, as everyone knows it can be extremely painful.
  11. I would let him audition for the schools you've chosen, see what the results are, then take it from there. That way you're not worrying about something that might not happen, if DS is successful, you can then get round the table and make your decisions.
  12. Just to give some of the DC on the SWL a little hope, in that one from the list has got a place at Newcastle.
  13. We could just rename it, and I could think of plenty of suitable names.
  14. It's a similar situation travelling throughout Europe, for instance, Paris to Barcelona on a TGV is x number of pounds, but sometimes it can be considerably less expensive by booking Paris to Perpignan and Perpignan to Barcelona. It's the same train, one thing to watch out for though, is to make sure you're on the front eight carriages, as the train splits in Perpignan.
  15. I asked about changing our tickets for an outward journey to London Kings X, there was an admin fee of £20 which was £3.50p more than the fare, so I decided to leave it as it was, cracking value though £16.50 for two of us on a 200 mile journey.
  16. Probably been covered but, people who use words like "amazing" or "incredible" etc, when the situation is quite average.
  17. Of course it wouldn't, but I'll leave it there if you feel offended, I never meant to.
  18. It's a tough process, 8 x JA centres, 4 x MA centres then down to 2 at SA level. I'm not sure about the Advanced Associate scheme..
  19. Not too sure but they were very close to the incident,
  20. I thought the anti brexit demo in London on Saturday, was a little insensitive being so early after last weeks carnage in the Westminster area. They could have either cancelled the march, or maybe changed the route, instead of having it so near where the incidents took place. It's maybe good that there wasn't too many taking part, instead of the tens of thousands stated by some of the press.
  21. What effect did it have before the UK joined the EEC?
  22. A similar thing happened to us, and only 4 in the final a couple of years ago. It does tend to build your hopes up, it's only natural I suppose, but none of the four were successful that year as no one was assessed out. It's teacher / parent day this coming Saturday in SA's in London, so fingers crossed all's well.
  23. Don't worry Lisa, I'm sure you can't be expected to return something as large as a freezer, especially if it's through no fault of your own.
  24. Sorry Lisa I've just realised you and Sean tried to open it after twenty minutes. That's definitely not normal, I would first look at the troubleshooting guide in the manual, just to see if it relates to anything that's happening. If not contact Argos, and explain the problem.
