  1. I used to be the same balletbean, but you soon learn all the tricks after a few go's. We don't usually have much time to get back to Kings X, unless we get the later train, so it's get your foot down time. We have tried it from Leicester Square, but although the tube station is better, it does take a little longer. No problem if you have plenty of time.
  2. It always amazes me why people queue at the first couple of lifts, when you can usually just walk past them to the end one which is more often than not available. That also happens at Kings X, I suppose it's because maybe there are a lot of tourists, who aren't too sure.
  3. PS To be fair on RBS, Covent Garden isn't exactly easy either. Having experienced Covent Garden tube station without luggage was a challenge in its self, let alone a dancer for a 1/2 weeks stay with all her belongings!! They do not travel light, bless them. That surprises me balletbean, we find it very easy, even when there's a big event going on in London?
  4. I find it typical of the world we live in today, when a man who helped save the lives of millions, by eradicating smallpox, doesn't even get a mention on news. ( unless I missed it by blinking ) So RIP Dr Donald Henderson.
  5. I'm sure many others will agree Lisa. Oh and best wishes to everyone else on the forum too.
  6. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy peaceful new year Lisa. You bring so much to this forum.
  7. There are a few you could use without any problems, Clipgrab is another that's very good.
  8. Before I changed to a Mac, I used "youtube catcher" balletmum13, it's a free download, and I had no problems whatsoever.
  9. It's very rare I get a genuine migraine attack nowadays, thank heavens. The neurosurgeons told my parents I could well grow out of them, after having a very serious head injury when I was younger, and they were thankfully correct. It's amazing how many people say they have a Migraine (whatever that means), when most of them have a plain headache. It's the same with Tinitus, when I'm struggling with it and someone asks what's wrong, after telling them, they usually say they suffer with it. Almost everyone has a sound in their heads, but it's not neccessarily Tinitus or they wouldn't handle it so easily.
  10. Oh I forgot about The Museum Quarter, all free and very good. Next year should be a good time to visit, as there will be all sorts of things going on, with it being The UK City of Culture. It's obviously got a few downside areas, but haven't all major cities?
  11. Holy Trinity church in the centre of Hull is wonderful, it's soon to be made a minster I believe. If you do visit Hull, you must go to "The Deep" one of the best aquariums on the planet, and if you have time go to the fantastic music scene of Humber Street.
  12. I couldn't agree more Janet, in fact I booked another visit for mid January only last night. We stayed in Liverpool town centre for a couple of days only last week, and really enjoyed it. Some of the building are amazing, everything seems to have been built half as big again as it is in most cities. I hope not, but Albert Dock seems to be running down a little, a lot of empty shops etc, might be just the time of the year.
  13. It's only a short ride to Kingston Upon Hull too, UK City of Culture 2017.
  14. I suppose you get what you pay for most of the time, as it's very reasonable. We have maybe been lucky then, as the food has always been very good, not really too fussed regarding the deco.
  15. I'm surprised no one has mentioned "La Ballerina" just round the corner from Floral Street, I suppose it depends on how quick you want it.
  16. I'm always a little suspicious when it comes to taking supplements, just for the fact it's a millions of pounds industry, designed to make a profit. My other concern regarding vitamin D supplements, is you should really regularly monitor your levels, which can be costly like has been said. I suppose someone with a vitamin D deficiency has no choice but to take a supplement, otherwise I'd be very careful. Just look at the myth of cholesterol, another billions of pounds industry, so be certain what you're taking.
  17. HiFi enthusiasts mainly I suspect, as the sound is far better than cd's etc.
  18. i agree sim, "Blood on the Tracks" was a classic, and maybe surprisingly to some, a few of his recent albums are gems.
  19. Well about time too I say, Bob Dylan being awarded The Nobel Prize for Literature. They will still be singing his praises for his songwriting and poetry, in 200 years or more. I have been a fan since his early days, and although he went down some rocky roads from time to time, recovered to produce some amazing material. I have been on the front row of scores of his gigs over the years, and it's incredible how night on night can be so different. Well done I say, and certainly well deserved.
  20. He's probably got the right attitude melody, take care.
