    Also the fact that the older girls don't want her in their class must mean that the teacher has asked them? Surely the teacher should decide rather than asking children.

    They take around 25-30 girls 15-20 boys but obviously just depends on the year and what they are looking for.

    Yes sorry I just meant that an accommodation near takes under 18s so lots of them go there.

    Although it is in accommodation I don't think they are planning on using it at the moment as they already have a deal with another living space and have said in the past that they want their students to be independent.

    I didn't move school until I was 12 and wish I had of a lot younger. I am now much happier and am dancing with people years older than me who are my best friends. By moving sooner it stops there being too many connections however it takes a lot of courage to move dance schools and is a big desision. Good luck to you and your DD for the future

    Central said that everyone gets their results at different times and even mentioned that some haven't heard for MONTHS previously. This was what they said at a talk a month or two ago.

    Remember that the body changes LOTS as you grow and I know of people who what's gone from small amounts of turnout to almost having flat turnout, you just never know.

    Would anyone be able to tell me what teacher took the central audition?

    I can't remember what the hours were but I know they do a ballet class every morning and I think they do contemporary every day. Then in the first year they do Spanish and in the second jazz. Sorry this isn't very specific but hope it helps a little.

    My friend got diagnosed in September October time and is the same age as your DD. She started dancing again towards the end of January but not full out. I hope your DD gets better quickly and sending you the best of luck.

    The central courses are fabulous. The standard has always been very high when I attended and the teachers are exceptional, it's definitely worth it.

    Does anyone have any experience with National Youth Dance Company? I was just wondering if anyone knew what the standard was like and how much dance they did at the intensives and how the audition system works? Thank you in advance

    Does anyone know if scholarships are available for NYB usually and how difficult it is to get them?

    At 14 I did 9 is hours of ballet a week 1 and a half hours contemporary 1 hour modern and 45 minutes of pilates.And also 2 hours of school dance a week. The hours seem like a good amount and very impressive for non vocational. If you are worried I was advised by teachers to try and do aerobic classes and general fitness classes as well if that helps at all.

    Definitely go for it again as they send out different letters so some children would have received a straight no so they clearly see a spark in your little one. The courses have had a lot of younger ones when I have gone so I'm sure she I'll have a fabulous time

    I hope if you've had the news yet that it was good!! If not I wouldn't worry at all about any of the stretching when I auditioned I only just got my right splits and got it and none of the other children with their insane stretching seemed to have got in. Goodluck it is an amazing course with great training and I know of people who have called up after results and been given advice for auditioning again!!!

    I think that the results still come by letter but might be wrong and as for a long wait there always is. However this year I think they may still be waiting for letters from current associates on whether they are staying next year so they won't know how many spaces are available. I do know that current associates who have re-auditioned have heard but don't think any from outside have. Hope this helps a bit

    Hello I was just wondering if anyone has ever done the classical ballet summer school at LSC and would be able to tell me what the level of difficulty is and whether it is possible to ask to be in the advanced SS if you are under 15. Any help would be hugely appreciated

    Most of the group 1s are 8,9 and 10 I think. I'm sure she will love it the teaching is amazing and really pushes everyone to their own personal best xx
