  1. link to my photos (their file-size is too large to post here like Rob S) Facebook album with all performances I have seen 18 April - Naghdi, Ball 19 April - Kaneko, Bracewell There are further, earlier posts on my IG too, fell free to browse
  2. Hi Alison, I hope you enjoyed last night as much as I did. I believe my friend Sharon has emailed you directly about this ticket. See you soon
  3. Hi Alison - is this tkt still available? Which spot is it exactly? A friend of mine might be interested. She’s at ROH with me now. Thanks
  4. Hi @Mary Jewels is replacing Kunstkamer as the full evening ballet, the gala celebration on Sunday remains as it
  5. I just received below message from ROH that Australian Ballet will bring Jewels instead on Kunstkamer to London in August. “We’re delighted to announce that The Australian Ballet will present one of George Balanchine’s most loved works, Jewels, as part of its 60th Anniversary Celebration Season at Covent Garden. The Australian Ballet is thrilled to be able to share this much-loved work with you, which will be replacing Kunstkamer as previously advertised, when they return to Covent Garden for the first time in 35 years this August. George Balanchine’s three-act masterpiece will showcase both the classical precision and stylistic versatility of The Australian Ballet’s dancers.”
  6. I do enjoy this production, I for one like the colourful costumes. But then I am also a colourful dresser in real life and wear a yellow dress with pink cardigan and pink high heels. However, two things keep bugging me, though I believe those aren't new in this production: - Why are the season fairies, when they dance as a quartet, not in seasonal order but instead spring, summer, winter, autumn? - Cinderella kneeling and hugging with her dad as they think of her late mother in act one is the very same kneeling and hugging with the prince in act 3 after the shoes fit and the Fairy Godmother gives her blessing. I would've like those two hugs be slightly different.
  7. yes, I had the same issue earlier but eventually managed to get a ticket. I hope you did too
  8. FWIW - I enjoy this production. No, it isn't perfect but nothing ever is. I also said to my friends after the General Rehearsal that some characters remind me of RB's Alice costumes, but then I also like Alice. What I love is that the party/ball guests in act 2 all wear distinct, beautiful dresses and suits in different colours, just as one would expect at a real ball. Here my curtain call photos from my vantage point in the Lower Slips at the Gala evening. Not the best of seats for full stage viewing but excellent for seeing the tutus from above Cinderella gala 27-03-23 Marianela Nunez 25 years with RB award Facebook Cinderella album (more performances' photos to be added as and when)
  9. Well, if that's the case, any other affordable seat might be considered too.
  10. If anyone has a spare Stalls Circle Standing or central Balcony Standing ticket for tonight's Cinderella gala, please let me know. I'd love to upgrade my Lower Slips seat for a better view. Many thanks
  11. I got the same message at some point, and that was after the website taking ages to actually allowing me to access the seating plan. I went back and started the whole process anew, I was then successful in getting into the triple bill page and book my ticket. It was rather frustrating though. How difficult is it to have servers that can take a bit of pressure on booking day?!?
  12. I'm now sorted with seats. Thanks to the kind people who offered theirs.
  13. It's not actually a convoluted sentence in German. The main sentence is about Cathy Marston and who she's succeeding, with a added explanation why Spuck is leaving Zürich.
  14. Selling a standing ticket for Cinderella on Saturday 1st April 1pm: Upper Amphi standing W-55 - £9 (great view of the stage albeit a little far back) cast: Marianela Nunez, Vadim Muntagirov, Fumi Kaneko, Gary Avis, Luca Acri)
  15. Thanks @capybara I couldn't see the Cinderella thread hence "starting" one, must've had my blinders on. happy for the moderators to delete the one I started
  16. And I have received an email from ROH that Matthew Ball will replace Cesar Corrales (dancing with Yasmine Naghdi) and Nicol Edmonds will replace Marcelino Sambé (dancing with Akane Takada)
  17. Additional casting has been added on the website for performances up to 19th April: - Fairy Goodmother (Kaneko, Mendizabal, Magri, Hamilton, Buvoli - Stepsisters (Acri + Avis, Gartside + Hay, Junker + Whitehead, Arestis + McNally
  18. just moving this topic up. anyone now not able to make the Friends Rehearsal on 24th March? Mum & Dad and I would be ever so grateful. Thanks
  19. I noticed the change too and believe he wears regular men's ballet tights at first and then the sheer version towards the end
  20. I think Sarabeth's is great for breakfast/brunch, lunch or dinner, there are two locations that would be close(ish) to Lincoln Square: Central Park South at 6th Ave or Amsterdam Ave at 80th St.
  21. Does anyone have 2 seated ticket spare to the Cinderella rehearsal on 24th March? My parents will be visiting from Germany that weekend and I would love to share my favourite past time (RB at ROH) with them. I'd be most grateful for any leads. Many thanks!
  22. I experienced a different kind of noise disturbance by an audience member at Sleeping Beauty yesterday: the chap in the seat in front of me (standing) kept burping. Admittedly not the loud open mouthed burps but still very audible closed mouth all the way up from the belly burps. I have no idea what he had eaten before the performance but it certainly kept repeating on him throughout the three hours of it. And to top it off, he started to yawn loudly during the most wonderful Grand Pas. Really rather irritating. 😖
  23. Well, I am opted in to receive all of the available tick-boxes yet I haven't received the survey. Therefore, the Membership's response is incorrect. 😞
  24. I'm looking for a central Stalls Circle standing or central Balcony standing for Saturday 11th Feb 7pm, please. If anyone has a spare, I'd be happy to give it a good home. Many thanks
