  1. This is not correct. The poorly sold Anemoi were offered to staff and their families at a discounted price, not "given away" nor to the same group that was in attendance last night (unless of course they are coincidentally family of ROH staff)
  2. I am very pleased for the cinema goers to have enjoyed the evening, there must have been some very clever editing going on. In the house we were a little underwhelmed (at least the regulars I spoke with). The audience was clap-happy at every minor break in the music and even along with the music in parts. Too much whooping and screaming with most claps. Generally noisy and "unresty" with lots of filming attempts. Very distracting. But also, there were a rather unusual number of minor (and one larger) mishaps on stage going on. Sadly I was a bit underwhelmed with the performance and have missed the chemistry between Kitri and Basilio that I have felt with other couples. My favourites of the evening were Gamache, Espada and Kitri's friends.
  3. well, this is odd, cast list for tonight states Leo Dixon again as lead gypsy couple, same as in last Saturday's matinee. I guess the cinema-published cast list is incorrect admittedly, Valentino only told me a coupe of weeks ago that he hopes to be back for Nutcracker Prince and Hans-Peter, but reading the cinema cast sheet I had hoped he recovered earlier than anticipated. https://www.roh.org.uk/tickets-and-events/43/don-quixote-by-carlos-acosta/cast-list/56674
  4. Lovely to see Valentino Zucchetti being back on stage dancing (lead gypsy couple)
  5. I think Harrison did really well (a little nervousness aside). A great opportunity for him. I always like his beautiful lines.
  6. Thanks @Sim - but I meant schedules like what each company will be showing and when. I'm sure RB had published a timetable in previous years 🧐
  7. I wish we had schedules to see what and where, and when to tune in. It would be especially helpful as I'm at work (in the office in fact) thus am restricted how much I can watch.
  8. I've always loved Fantasia, especially the hippo dance of the hours 🥰 (and Mickey's Zauberlehrling)
  9. IG fouettés in case anyone is in need of a giggle my take on the RB’s pirouette/fouetté challenge for WBD 🦛🩰
  10. might La Sylphide (at least that production) have left the RB repertoire with Johan Kobborg's departure?
  11. Hi @LinMM - The Insight photo shows Francesca Hayward
  12. Oh, wow, I hadn't realised that Patrons can book a month prior to highest level Friends. That's good news for getting cast information soon. Thanks @capybara
  13. recently casting has been released very close to Premium 2 Friends booking start, which for SL and MacMillan Triple will be 29th November
  14. Her Espada being Benjamin Ella in the Hinkis, Acri cast on Saturday evening. Julia Roscoe as Queen of the dryads. Lots of role debuts there
  15. Standing ticket available for The Limit in the Linbury, Saturday 28th Oct 2023 2:30pm Cast: Hannah Rudd, Jacob Wye Please send me a DM if interested
  16. Hahaha, I remember him. It was the clipboard usher who then didn't even recognise RB dancers as they moved about the house and was almost chasing them and alerting another usher about the dancers' "trespassing". The alerted usher enlightened clipboard usher about the "trespassers". 😆
  17. Hi @Emeralds The article doesn't mention whether Ms Ferri will or won't continue dancing (I am a native German speaker)
  18. Aren't the reduced ROH tickets similar to West End and Broadway Day Tickets that are sold on the day of the performance in order to fill the auditorium? I have been lucky enough to snag some Broadway show tickets on the day of for much less than those patrons who booked their tickets weeks/months in advance to have their certainty of knowing they will attend the performance on the day they want to in the seats of their choosing. Like most here I agree that ticket prices have shot up a bit too much recently, but I also understand that with reduced government funding theatres are struggling. And I'd rather support the arts than be deprived of them if theatres have to close (or have to scrap live music, etc.) I'm really sad that this thread has become so hateful and jealous. I, too, would love to be able to see as many performances as I want to without having to dip into saving. Yet, I also recognise how privileged we are in London to have such plethora of shows, and that we can book ballet/opera tickets knowing which cast we get. NYCB for example only release their principal casts 2 weeks prior to performance by which time the lower price band ticket have typically been snatched up.
  19. adding to the wish list: Blue Boy in Les Patineurs, Bratfisch in Mayerling, Alaskan Rag in Elite Synchopations (with maybe Annette Buvoli?), Puck in The Dream
  20. I know it's a long shot as there are already 2 posts of members wanting tickets but I'm remaining hopeful I'm looking for a SCS or central Balcony standing ticket for RB's Don Q on 3rd November. Any leads would be very much appreciated. Many thanks, Silke
  21. I'm looking for Stalls Circle standing or central Balcony standing tickets for RB's Don Q on 11th November 1:00pm and 17th November 7:30pm. Many thanks
  22. I wish so too and would like to see Donnelly and Hay take on Drosselmeyer. Both are very fine dancers and I'd hate to lose them in any soloist dance roles but think they'd both be excellent Drosselmeyers and bring their je ne sais quoi to that role.
  23. Yes, they do. She snatches her friend’s fan and then exchanges (for her own ?) after her solo.
