  1. I really quite liked tonight's performance. I'm calling it performance as, just like Tech-shows on Broadway, The Limit's preview performances are open to the public (unlike ROH Friends Rehearsals). I went in to The Limit without any expectations, though I had attended the Insight evening, and was really rather taken with the piece. Alexander Campbell and Francesca Hayward work so well together and both are great actors, telling whole stories with just their facial expressions. The set is quite stark (see photo), general lighting and overhead neon lights are used in a clever way. The musicians sit where Side Stalls right would normally be. Alexander and Francesca remain on the stage the entire 75 minutes. The music is really nice and for the most part doesn't interfere with the dancers speaking, it's generally either speech or music. I am looking forward to seeing Hannah Rudd and Jacob Wye tomorrow afternoon and then Francesca and Alexander once more in the evening.
  2. @Dawnstar I'm sorry, I didn't mean for you to take any photos down, I just pointed you to my little series I had also shared in case it had been overlooked
  3. Hi @Dawnstar I had posted 💐 series of Nela/Vadim on page 16 and of Fumi/Will on page 17 ☺️
  4. 4 magnificent performances in as many days. My cup runneth over!
  5. Hi Michelle, Would you alternatively be interested in a standing ticket (D-25) for the Rudd/Wye cast on Saturday 28th Oct matinee? Happy to swap with your 21st Oct matinee if it works for you. Many thanks, Silke
  6. I’ve been using that abbreviation for quite some time but it really seems to be catching on 😊
  7. 2 SCS just available (D-6 and D-7) I've stood there before and they're pretty okay
  8. Ticket returns now popping up on the ROH, currently prices from £14. you might want to keep checking
  9. I am so sorry for Steven to be injured again, and sorry for Anna Rose to miss her show. I really hope Steven's injury is nothing too serious. His partnership with AROS is really lovely. I wish him a speedy recovery. However, the alternate cast for tomorrow is such a treat!
  10. Hiya - I might be interested if still available. Thanks, Silke
  11. stuggling to make the photos stick in the post. apologies for spamming the feed
  12. 2 taster photos, more here: Facebook album Instagram 14-10-23 matinee Instagram 14-10-23 evening
  13. An "injured" Miss Osipova has been spotted guesting in Abu Dhabi: R&J with Reece Clarke
  14. As per Valentino Zucchetti when asked about it during an Insight when it was first staged it is pronounced Anemi (like me or tea) but he said that he anticipated everyone to pronounce it Anemoy.
  15. 2 pics preview, full set here on Facebook or Instagram 07 Oct 2023 matinee 07 Oct 2023 evening
  16. it sounds like it'll be another case of the MacGregor: dancers moving, music playing but neither really having anything to do with the other. Like Kristen McNally said herself that she would have choreographed some things very differently had she had the music to those segments before. I also wonder how much we will still be able to hear the dancers speak once the music is added.
  17. I would've liked Isabella Gasparini been given the opportunity. Especially since she just recently danced Kitri in Brazil. She would have been a good height match for Luca, too.
  18. Miss Magri has posted on her Instagram page today that she had the best time on stage last night and that she is looking forward to her next shows, so I presume she didn't get seriously injured.
  19. I will preclude that I have not watched Panorama (I don't own a TV or pay for TV license) However, I can't see the relation between stopping watching ballet companies and ballet school teachers changing their behaviour. Maybe the question should have been whether to financially stop supporting ballet schools? I must say, that during my active ballet days I also experienced weigh-ins every Monday morning and being told to lose weight. I certainly wasn't chubby, just athletic as opposed to scrawny like some of my fellow students. Did that affect my relationship with food? Absolutely. Did that make me feel rubbish? Of course. Did that diminish my love for ballet? Absolutely not. It made me persevere and stubbornly chase my dream even harder. I pushed through and graduated. The thing that had me stop dancing were my knees that had given out on me during my graduating year. My passion for ballet has remained high over the last three decades, albeit being a spectator rather than a dancer. I have also been bullied in my day job that has no connection to dance or the arts, so I would say bullying needs to be addressed in general. But I won't be denying myself of the pleasure of watching ballet and supporting ballet companies by purchasing tickets, merchandise, etc.
