  1. Can recommend Lisayne Ballet School. They do RAD graded and vocational exams. It is ran by Lisa Hollinshead and Olivia Pickford teaches there too xx classes every day except Sundays x
  2. DD has a drawer full of Love Lily skirts, they are just stunning. Ruth at Love Lily is extremely helpful and will bend over backwards to accommodate any query. Xx I see big things happening for them ????
  3. Hi MA's in Birmingham was 10-12:15 when my DD was an MA xx
  4. Hi Kat09. Email address is amandanaan75@gmail.com
  5. Thanks all, will see if it can be adjusted x it's a shame as the music builds at 1:15 onwards
  6. dd's solo is just under two minutes. Are tring really strict as it will mean completely resetting her solo!
  7. My DD wouldn't dream of going to a ballet class without her hair in a bun, she can still show individuality, intelligence and be groomed at the same time.
  8. I'm pretty sure BRB still send to Cuba too. Might be worth calling them to find out? Xx
  9. DD also attended NGdance. Was first class and would highly recommend to anyone xxx
  10. Hoglett, it is held at Worksop Preparatory School in Retford. Xx
  11. Would love my DD to take park in the Prix or YAGP but it's way out of our price range. ???? Time and time again I see contracts offered and backgrounds where the students have been winners at these competitions. X.
  12. Called LRBS today and they said to send "classical poses" so will just send what we have for the others DD is auditioning for. Interestingly they have asked for close up of the feet!! Xx
  13. Forgive me all on balletco forum, but I cannot find anywhere on the above school website where it states the photos required to send along with audition form, anyone???
  14. Amos - wholeheartedly agree, have been saying this for years!!
  15. Great video, my DD is medically hyper mobile and has the swayback legs and arms that look like they bend in the wrong way. The swayback legs do cause issues with strength all the time, DD gets her strength and is very centred then has a growth spurt and bye bye strength, then takes her a good month to get it back. She does wish sometimes she has straight legs, then some of her friends look at her legs and wish they had them. Suppose we all want what we don't have to a degree ????????
  16. Sorry if I am being dim, is RBSS open to non vocational? X
  17. My mum and dad are both very tall and quite athletic of build. I am 5'4" and a skinny build, my sister is much taller and curvy, two brothers one is short the other over 6'!
  18. DD was on fast track, which I think they are scrapping after this year? Means less next year which is only a good thing just in time for 6th form auditions. It's not classed as educational in their eyes. Very good school but ridiculous when it comes to things like that. X Pictures - She is doing AS level maths work, with a possibility of taking it next year.
  19. No, they just don't agree with anything like that at all. Luckily for her upcoming sixth form auditions they are classed as a college interview. Xx.
  20. Yes so does DD. However her school give out fines for any unauthorised absences and I can't afford it with everything else! She also took 5 GCSE's a year early, so there was no way they would let her have the time. We must also think about if it happens that DD is successful in getting a job and we have to be realistic, a dance career is very short and she must have something to fall back on.
  21. She finishes school next year at the end of May so will be free to do lots x
  22. Angel, no they won't sadly. they are really strict! She is doing literally nothing this week and next week, this time could have been spent doing these summer schools instead of watching films at school...
  23. Such a shame that again they are happening before my DD's school breaks for the summer ????
