  5. Crystaltips this sounds awful and please rely on your instincts. Have you considered talking to another dance school? I've heard that KS Dance often take students transferring from elsewhere. So sorry you are in this situation.
  6. Kat09 I wish you and your daughter all the best. It is a very moving blog. I am sorry you've had such a traumatic experience.

    Hammond do also Boogalou.
  8. Good luck to your dd Huddsballetmum - you have been a source of sound advice! Enjoy the post dancing life.
  9. Dancer123 I think if your dd has access to 10 hours of ballet a week - good quality - then she'll do very well. There are all sorts of pitfalls at vocational school and why take the risk if you have that training at home? There is a high turnover rate at vocational school and people leave and join all the time if you change your mind in the future.
  10. Good luck to your dd Jazzpaws.
  11. Hi Pixy-dust If you have had ankle dislocations I would think very carefully about whether pointe work is appropriate, ever. I'm sorry if that sounds mean but you are only 24 and risking further ankle damage could lead to lifelong problems - with daily activities never mind dance. Take care.
  12. We have a friend living out in Tring 6:1
  13. When my dd was a JA the dc who got into WL was definitely not the furthest down in splits. They are looking for many things in combination!
  14. They have refunded for me in past on old system - don't know how much control they have over new. You could put on Sale pages here. It will be snapped up at some stage..
  15. Coat is compulsory but most kids rarely use them! So definitely go for 2nd hand!
  16. Congratulations @anaballerina great news!
  17. I agree the results do get shared in changing room etc but that is very different to reading them out.
  18. Good point Pupsmum- same here!!
  19. Youngatheart - I'm not a snowflake parent I promise - in fact I'm thought to be bordering on harsh by some!!
