  1. I agree with TTP - for me it has to be Tatiana.
  2. Beautifully put, Sim. I could see exactly what Tatiana was thinking at every moment. I found her solo in the ball particularly nuanced and moving, as she conveyed such yearning and confusion. In the two pdd they were fearless, and took risks that only heightened the story - they weren't done for 'show'. For me it was the performance of the run, and I will carry it with me for a long time.
  3. A stunning last performance tonight - moving and beautiful. Loved every moment!
  4. I can't sign in (again!) - apparently I'm unknown. I've given up ...
  5. Nor me, Dave - I thought I had two in my basket but couldn't checkout and now they're gone. Then I just got the never-ending turning circle, the error message ....
  6. Happy New Year to everyone, and thanks to the committee for all your work on the forum!
  7. Does anyone know if there will be a DVD of Nunez/Bonelli's Manon after the cinema relay?
  8. You're right, Melody - I found this on the website. I was sure I'd chosen to see him, and this was announced in advance although it was a change of cast. 'There have been adjustments to the advertised casting for select performances of The Royal Ballet’s Onegin. For performances on 22 January, 25 January, 31 January and 5 February Nehemiah Kish will dance the role of Lensky'.
  9. I saw him as Lensky, I'm sure .... just not as Onegin. Unless I'm having a senior moment .... I don't think so though because I specifically went to see him.
  10. As no-one else has posted I'll write something. I'm no expert, so this is just my personal reaction, but I really enjoyed her performance this afternoon. She was very engaging, very natural and totally believable. It was an understated and thoughtful performance that moved me far more than some other more 'mannered' or 'frenzied' interpretations. For me it was a triumph and I'm looking forward to her second performance very much.
  11. Agreed - it was fascinating, and added a special interest to seeing her dance. It would be lovely to see something similar for 'our' dancers.
  12. Thank you for mentioning this - I had been planning to book for this performance to bring my grandchildren for their first visit to the ballet, but I have now booked for the ENB on that day instead. The early warning meant that I was able to get good seats! Jacky
  13. You can get an inclusive ticket for entry to all the Shakespeare properties, which is quite good. The Birthplace is interesting, if a bit 'touristy'. We like Hall's Croft, and New Place. The walk along to river from the theatre to the church is pleasant if it's not raining!
  14. I agree with everything you have said, Meunier - I saw Reilly on Wednesday, and was knocked out by his performance - and his partnering. I found his interpretation very clear, and very moving. I hope that we get the chance to see him again in London!
