  1. Darcey was on a family holiday, they alluded to it at one point. I also thought Kristen was fabulous, hope she gets to do more of this presentations.
  2. Dance Forward which is run by Andrew Ward at the RAD Headquarters in Battersea, its three days over August Bank holiday weekend. There is a website and a Facebook page.
  3. Looking for current first year leotards (mainly) and any other uniform that anyone might like to sell please? DD is a size 6-8 and long legged. Will be buying new too but looking for spares.
  4. Thank you Living The Dream, i may be contacting you at some point. Thank you Lisa.
  5. It seems to be the recommended place. There seems to be very few British girls with places. I will ask the school for homestay details, but think my DD would prefer QAH, just not in her own.
  6. Thanks Angel. Don't worry about negative things, I'm happy to hear that as will help in the long run. Do you know where else the ballet students tend to stay? My DD is non vocational, first time living away from home, so want her to be with the other first years if possible. She has made contact with a couple of girls as they all seem to know who each other are on the audition circuit. But we are the first ones to view QAH.
  7. They are always impressed if the dancer has choreographed it themselves. It shows creativity and a willingness to have a go. Very good skills to have and it doesn't have to be perfect, just danced with commitment and passion for dance.
  8. DD and I have been to visit Queen Alexandra House today and have put her name down for a room there. Was wondering if there was anyone else with experience of a DD living there whilst at ENBS? It seemed safe and secure, if a bit shabby and old fashioned, but a fabulous area to live in. Anyone got any advice, pointers etc?
  9. How did they make it clear who they wanted BadBallerina? Doesn't sound very professional of them, I will ask my DD what she thought as I think she may have been in with you.
  10. There were 18 girls in groups 1 and 2 today and 17 in group 3 so 54 in total although I can't remember if this included the current yr 11's or not. The numbers in each group were on a schedule of the day that was left on the registration tables and detailed how many from RBS, how many from Elmhurst and then all others.
  11. Many congratulations to your DD, where has she chosen to go?
  12. My DD is on waiting list too despite getting finals, or perhaps thats why!
  13. We've heard from ENBS for course A now, so they must be working through the applications.
  14. My DD didn't make it through to call back today either. She thoroughly enjoyed the audition and felt that everyone was treated very fairly and they were all looked at equally. A lovely experience which she'll never forget.
  15. We've not heard for course A yet, beginning to wonder if I even sent the forms off!????
  16. No not yet, I looked back at last years email, it was sent on 17th March so another week or so yet I think.
  17. My DD is 15 and doing 6th form auditions, she is in Advanced 2. Most seem to be Advanced 1 or 2.
  18. We were told quite frankly at one school that if they had an equally talented boy and girl to award one MDS to, they would always choose the boy.
  19. I agree Welshballetmum2000, my DD can't compete with the overseas dancers that have been at the big competitions. She will just be pleased to have got to finals and enjoy the experiences. We have no expectations.
