  1. I have SCS D22 available for The Winter’s Tale on 28 February - face value is £10. Please PM if interested.
  2. he tries to force himself on Giselle when she’s not interested and physically assaults her - this is very clear in Peter Wright’s production.
  3. He's not a sympathetic character in any production I know.
  4. Yes, it has been known for some time (I think since the season announcement last April) that the music for the new McGregor is the Chichester Psalms. A lovely piece IMHO.
  5. Some clocks don't chime overnight. In Autumn, it's quite possible for dawn to be at 6 (bearing in mind it depends on longitude and latitude...)!
  6. Other conductors for WT haven't been so high up (and the onstage band can look at the monitors, like wot the opera singers do).
  7. Really pleased to see a lady on the podium (doesn't happen enough at the ROH) but on Tuesday she did seem to be standing unusually high up in the pit, so much so that it was noticeable (and quite distracting) from the grand tier.
  8. There was an offer on fromtheboxoffice.com for ages (40% off most ticket prices IIRC) but that's no longer on. Given the ticket sales to date, I would imagine there will be plenty of tickets at TKTS.
  9. I would expect that to be within the remit of the board of trustees, if they have any concerns in that regard.
  10. Actually, it proves nothing. It may suggest something, but it doesn't prove it.
  11. I’m a little perturbed that Lindsay believes Ball to have been cast over Sambé, given that Sambé was originally cast to dance alongside Hayward, but was unable to do so due to a longer recovery time from his injury than was hoped.
  12. There’s a picture of Makarova in the Munich programme that is dated 1982. The programme also contains a list of everyone who has danced the principal roles in Munich and the number of appearances (5 for Makarova and only 1 for Maximova).
