  1. As we’re now just over 4 weeks since my broken ankle, I’m not really available as a substitute any more. 🤓
  2. That was exactly my point. You need to read the post to which I was responding (which was quoted in my original post).
  3. I’m a bit confused by this. The clue for me is in the name: “Festival of New Choreography”. With the greatest respect to them, I wouldn’t call November, McNally, Binet, Bond, Zucchetti or Powell-Main particularly young and they are all well established choreographers.
  4. Definitely no Mayerling on BBC4 this weekend, though the programme on (Mad) King Ludwig's castles looks fun.
  5. Stix-Brunell was cast as Alice as a replacement for an injured colleague (Núñez).
  6. Due to a broken ankle (and, therefore, not as a comment on the choreography!!!), I have the following standing tickets available: 20 Feb: balcony D33 (face value £5) 21 Feb: stalls circle D26 (face value £5) Please PM if you are interested.
  7. Wish I’d known this casting before I booked my RBS @ OHP tickets!
  8. Even better if they can find the Pats rehearsal picture where the snow fell on the dancers in one big dump!
  9. I think they may now have stopped the tap that dripped (audibly) for an entire scene but I still wouldn't go to this production again if you paid me vast sums of money.
  10. There are usually 49 Friday Rush tickets per performance...
  11. Alex Beard stepped down from the Glyndebourne board of trustees just after it was announced that he would be the new CEO of the ROH (July 2013).
  12. We're going to DweB on a day different to the days we're seeing the "New Works".
  13. I booked my tickets for DweB on 29 December so it must have been before then!
  14. What an incredibly patronising and unpleasant post.
  15. No real casting available yet for Robert Binet’s piece in the Festival of New Choreography, Dark with Excessive Bright, but details are now available here. Booking is already open for Patrons and all levels of Friends, with Young ROH on 10 Jan and general public booking on 11 Jan.
  16. Thank goodness you don’t have any artistic role in any ballet company.
  17. You are most welcome to take over running the forum, moderating and taking the financial and legal risks.
  18. I respectfully disagree with your final proposition (as I did above). I am merely pointing out that some people on here speak as if they do so on behalf of all supporters and this is not the case. BTW I am not an unquestioning member (as many on here and elsewhere will confirm).
  19. I am a loyal supporter (loyal enough to have been quoted on the stage during the Friends anniversary performances!). I have absolutely no issue with the lack of casting for the MacMillan triple and don't feel any need to receive a communication such as that described (I'm a big boy and am capable of thinking for myself and understanding the pressures that artistic enterprises, particularly extremely large ones, are operating under); I have happily booked my tickets.
