  1. I saw the working stage rehearsal on Wednesday night and also left at the interval. My views and also the sound of the half hearted applause, at least in the Circle when the curtain came down on Act 1 really did echo the comments above. I enjoyed the powerful choreography, but I felt after about 20 minutes of non-stop movement to excruciating sounds, it would have been better to change the tone and dynamic and move onto something different, a pause into a more soft setting or pas de deux or explanation of the plot. The escapism of the theatre was missing - those anxiety inducing sounds reflect the modern world a little too well!
  2. Bavarian State Opera/Ballet Does anyone have any knowledge of the seat view Seating Plans and Prices: Bayerische Staatsoper - for NATIONALTHEATER to be precise. I've never been and was weighing up a cheaper priced ticket either up high or lower around the side, but wondered if anyone had been or could recommend as it's difficult to tell from the images and plans available online? Thank you.
  3. Yes strange, as I attended a focus group a while back commenting that NYCB had discount for under 40s. ENO now has increased its age range to under 35s, each age category staggered pricing.
  4. Due to a friend and her partner being unable to make this last minute, I have another pair of tickets: Amphitheatre Lower Slips, A-103 £6.00 Amphitheatre Lower Slips, A-102 £6.00
  5. These tickets are now sold, but I have another pair - will make a new post.
  6. x2 Level 5 Upper Slips AA9 and AA10 £10 each - to be sold as a pair
  7. I used to take this class about five years ago, she’s great and she keeps the class moving so you won’t get bored (!) hearing a long analysis of technique! However you have to be on the ball as she marks the next exercise as soon as the pianist stops playing! Enjoy!
  8. Yes, she was my teacher too - very inspiring woman

  11. UPDATE: The Royal Ballet morning class livestream is cancelled http://www.roh.org.uk/news/watch-the-royal-ballet-live-in-morning-class-from-the-royal-opera-house-stage
  12. There's one £20 ticket online now http://www.roh.org.uk/productions/the-royal-ballet-school-summer-performance-2018-by-the-royal-ballet-school
  13. I had multiple teachers at the same time which helped in these situations. Sometimes teachers don't want you to audition for things as fear of losing you as their prize student or it clashes with their school show! Trust your instinct and branch out as much as possible to seek lots of experience.
  14. This company has free CV workshops and online guidance https://www.ten2two.org/free-confidence-cv-workshop-bristol-april-26th/
  15. The prize winners are of a high enough standard that they would be accepted at these institutions, most of them are company standard but still of school age!
