  1. Just now I called the box office to return x1 of tomorrow’s insight/rehearsal tickets. I went in person yesterday + said ‘rehearsal’, but they assumed I meant ‘general rehearsal’ which you can’t return, I was also confused as I’m not a friend or patron. Is there anyone sorting out the wording for these two events, as it’s wasting a lot time, money + also potentially stopping others from watching these ‘closed’ events?
  2. Looking for x1 ticket so my friend can join me tomorrow evening for the Sleeping Beauty rehearsal. Thank you!
  3. Also looking for x1 ticket to this, so second in line please!
  4. Few seats still available: https://www.roh.org.uk/tickets-and-events/insights-cinderella-details
  5. Got a last minute ticket and was expecting to be blown away, but wasn’t. Not sure the audience were either, as the applause was full, but not hysterical. Yes, the live stream was innovative, especially when the dancers went into the wings etc, but after a while this got repetitive. For anyone who watches a lot of dance online (especially on social media), all that zooming in/close ups aren’t much of a novelty! Really enjoyed the upbeat group numbers, but wished there were more of them, as some of the solos and duets were pretty repetitive, both musically and choreographically. Loved the scene with the extra long doll arms, I thought this was the best part and didn’t use any technology at all!
  6. Hello, I know there seems to be serious lag from booking tickets until receiving email confirmation and e-ticket, but previously under ‘your account’ you could access ‘upcoming events’. That does not appear for me anymore, is this the same for others? I’ve booked tickets during Friday Rush, only have the PayPal receipt, it’s apparently not ‘standard hours’ on the live chat and no one is answering the phone!
  7. Yes the article seems to have been updated and the text under the image has changed!
  8. Started reading https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-63215698 and noticed the large error under her second image which reads ‘Margot Fonteyn says Giselle in Swan Lake is the most difficult to dance’ Have emailed BBC about this as I’m not sure what it was meant to read! Wonder if there are any other errors, I’m no Fonteyn expert?

  11. For Sale x1 Insights: The Royal Ballet in Rehearsal Thursday 17 March 19:30 £20
  12. Thanks for some of the explanations, makes sense being Covid related re: smaller Arabian dance, but still enjoyed the previous version and the Chinese dance too, the revised choreography, especially in the latter is rather absurd and not well thought out.
  13. Perhaps I am out of touch, but after watching today’s dress rehearsal, I was interested to see the change in choreography to Act II; namely in the Arabian dance, where there are only two dancers, I remember four (3 males and 1 female) and the Chinese dance, very different choreography without the parasols and arm movements, especially during the finale/coda - the choreography for the two male dancers seemed quite bizarre! Does anyone know the reasons behind the change in choreography/change in no. of dancers in each dance and how long this has been in the repertoire? Does it have something to with addressing the racist stereotypes that other companies seem to be following or unrelated? Thank you!
  14. Please email over the ticket, I have not yet received - thank you
  15. There’s also the official ticket resale website - does that still exist?
  16. I agree, and perhaps put this into a double or triple bill, with something more uplifting, a Forsythe work perhaps, that was well received in the summer. With all the doom and gloom, 2021 is not the year to sit through something as dark and painful as this performance was!
