Try finding Size 6 super skinny jeans for boys ! I’ve only ever found them in the woman’s section- needed for contemporary work and he is still a size 6 at age 16!

I do SO sympathise with you about the lack of variety of boys leotards especially when they’re small and ...the only really nice one we found last year was the Ballet Rosa Endo leotard and I think it only comes in two colours - Black and white ! This year we got a grey and black unitard version of it. Sadly even the men’s extra small unitards by intermezzo are way too big so I took my life in my hands and took them in at all the seams with a reasonable result! To make it even harder my DS hates sleeveless unitards and leotards ! the Planet Dance website seemed to have the best me s range and is our current favourite.... Of course if money were no object I believe you can get them made to order in any colour combination you like from wear moi overseas website!! But I suspect like us that is a bit out of your price range when there is so much else to spend our resources on ! I also 2nd Tutu girl’s summer school recommendation. But I can’t be of much help finding boys dance classes during term time is quite tough and I’m not in your area x

We use Porselli quite a lot. there is a next day delivery option but the 48 hr one is fairly efficient and we usually phone and speak to James Chant if we need to check stock or we need a size not listed on the website! Their prices are very reasonable and they have a great men’s/ Boys range !

Very pleased to report that the MB/NA company have been able to be flexible and are rearranging the July intensive dates in Birmingham so that they no longer conflict with Elmhurst’s summer show! Huge relief for my DS - now it’s full steam ahead to book hotels and leave etc!

We were told that further details about the production will be public in the autumn !

The first lot of rehearsals are in August this year which is not a problem and the performances are in September which is also not a problem however there is an intensive in July which is the week of rehearsals before the school summer shows! DS Said he wouldn’t mind if you had to miss the summer shall altogether if it meant he could take up this opportunity ...

Just had a phone call DS has been offered a part! one excited young man... just hope we get the required permission for time off now!

DS seemed to think it would be ages before we hear anything .... I’m going to try and forget about it ...- I’ve plenty of other things to be kept busy with - Yr 11 prom, summer shows - music exams end of term activities and the like !

With my pharmacist hat on I’d say avoid!

How strange - I wrote the above post yesterday before my messsge about the Brum audition one and it’s just reappeared today spontainiously......thought it was lost!

I’m sure they will get back to you - let us know what they say.... So far their communication with us has been very good - we even get regular follow up emails from the last event which was years ago - so I’m sad to hear that your DD has been let down in this way - there must be a mistake somewhere along the line and I do hope it’s resolved quickly x

Is there any hope that your Yda might have a different ballet teacher next year as well as different accommodation? Sometimes that can make a big difference - at least it did for us .... I do feel for you so much and encourage you to call and ask to speak to other schools weather or not auditions have passed - there is no harm in asking!
