  1. Thank you flutterby x
  2. That is most kind . Thank you very much x
  3. Regarding the Rambert audition on Monday - I might have to take one of my pupils down . Does anyone know the time of the audition , and the nearest station please ? The parent can't get the info up on her computer and I have only this little phone .
  4. At the ENB finals I would estimate that about a third were from UK . There were , I think 25 boys in the final . Obviously I have no knowledge of who was accepted - although there doesn't seem to be much news on the forum about any ENB offers for uk students . ( except Kat09 - congratulations ! ) Goldfish - congratulations too - I am not sure where you reside . As flutterby says - ENB is a top school internationally , and is bound to attract / select the best students from each country . I would be interested to hear if anyone knows someone who gained a place this year .
  5. Anyone else there last week ? I loved the show at the end and all my pupils had a good time
  6. Thank you Kat09 . Is your dd going in sept to ENB ? If you don't mind me asking ?
  7. Anyone know what ENB are ? Sorry I've posted this on two different threads x

    Central finals

I am not trying to influence you one way or the other , and after disappointing results , it is understandable to feel like giving up . However , I noticed that a lot of children were 17 plus in my DS auditions this year - he is only 15 . I certainly think another year would see her a lot stronger , and if nothing else - more aware of what the audition process involves . She will be more mature too . This is of course only my opinion , and I wish you well MIAS . Just to add - another of my DS has , at 21 , begun a 3 year vocational training programme . He had invested 2 years in an academic degree which he was not enjoying , and he absolutely loves what he is doing now . He has a great voice and good acting skills - but has had no dance training !!! Never too late , we would say .
  9. Difficult to reply off my i phone - but it's a different year to who you are thinking of - Miracle . Did your DD choose Hammond over Tring ?
  10. My DS absolutely loves it there . I think the facilities for boarding are pretty good - maybe boys accommodation is a little more modern , but the girls is very homely . I don't actually think they notice their surroundings , after a tiring day which finishes at 8 30 in year 10 , they just want to sleep ! DS doesn't do any singing or drama . He does ballet , solos , pas de deux , contemporary , jazz , modern. . ( he could if he wanted also do tap ) . RAD is optional on a Saturday . The standard is very high . Also the academic side is brilliant , and they can do a wide range of A Levels .- DS hoping to take Maths , Physics and photography . DS previously at Hammond , which offers more of an all round performance training ,(and also a great school )hence our move to Tring , as DS is classical through and through . However nowadays even the classical dancers need to be able to turn their hands ( or feet ) to other styles , and I think Tring get the balance just right . This is the dance course I am talking about , as there is also a Musical Theatre course at Tring . I think they call it TA . Hope this helps a bit .
  11. Hang on in there - a pupil of mine got an MDS offer just before the start of September term last year !!!
  12. This has gone very quiet . Has anyone else had any good ENB news ? Perhaps all the results are not yet out . I sympathise with those waiting xx
  13. Hammond are releasing DADA s as they get turned down . I know someone got one on rhursday
  14. Glad you enjoyed choreo -my DS was in one of the winning numbers .( not his choreography. )

  17. Well I have a DS there - and I'm happy to talk to you - I have only positive things to say . If you pm me with your number. - I can call you with pleasure . I have a contact in yr 7 - I could try to put you in touch. . I'm so happy for you - she will absolutely love it . I'm sure that no contact bit must be wrong. !!!
  18. I hear the Elmhurst results are out . ( for year 7 anyway ) . Best wishes to all who are waiting
  19. DS got a scholarship 2 years ago for the lower age group . He was 13 . I think the class was quite big . I've heard that boys seem to get a lot of the scholarships - but if you ring up - they will tell you more - if it's still Miss Porter - I found her very approachable
