  1. Is it DD final on Sunday ? It's my DS final on Saturday . Wishing you both the very best . There is a nice place to eat / drink on the way from Fulham Broadway to Hortensia Rd. . It's on the right and called the Butchers Hook . Or it's walkable to the Kings Road if you need a bit of retail therapy .
  2. Yes . Fulham Broadway is the tube you want , on the district line . Allow 45 mins at least for the journey and it's a 10 - 15 min walk from the tube to ENB although most buses pass that way .
  3. I've just clicked on a tick on my own post to see what happened - I hope I haven't ' liked ' my own post - that's just too embarrassing !
  4. Haha ! My DS photos were dreadful last year - taken in a sitting room - not warmed up - and a yellowish tone so he looked a bit jaundiced !! Needless to say he got a place !!!
  5. And I'm sure you will love everything about tringiling as well ! It has a magic all of it's own , and the most amazing teaching faculty
  6. Ebony - what year was your dd auditioning for ? I have a pupil in the same situation
  7. Stirrups - thank you - do you have to do the full 4 weeks ? Do you know ?
  8. Thanks - most helpful . So maybe missed the proverbial boat but never mind - I will try - and if not he has 2 here to look forward to if he doesn't go further afield .
  9. I expect this is a minefield and has been discussed elsewhere - but help !! My DS would like to attend a summer school abroad , at the beginning of august this year . If possible - the first 2 weeks . Can anyone recommend one that would be good for a lad who is at vocational school ? He is auditioning for upper schools at moment . Confident to travel and cope alone. !! I welcome suggestions particularly based on experience . Thank you all
  10. Sorry - been busy with family -glad you've found it . I would definitely urge parents to come to open day - see the standard for yourselves
  11. Oops ' training' not 'trying ' - although I'm sure they are also trying hard !!!
  12. I am happy to tell you about a wonderful new opportunity in Clitheroe ( Lancashire ) . Moorlands boarding school now has a full vocational course for classical training . Taught by 2 of the best teachers I know the ballet programme started in Sept - last year. . It now boasts 10 full time students and many Saturday Associates . I have 2 of my pupils trying there and they love it - and are doing brilliantly - due to excellent teaching and small classes . Many people are seeing this as a great choice for full time training and I would urge you to take a look . Children can board , I think from yr 5 upwards. - and day pupils are also welcome .
  13. Yes it's Leeds results out - I know of 2 yes and 1 no . ( just in case anyone's worried that yes are out first )
  14. Thank you that is very helpful hfbrew
  15. Hello Vontothbart - slight misunderstanding . Someone had said that finals were possibly full , and that no one seemed to have got into finals from Feb 8 th audition . I just wanted to dispel that rumour - most certainly wasn't questioning your friends e mail. I wouldn't dream of it . Sorry if I've caused offence
  16. Well - this would definitely have been of interest , but is a direct clash with ENB finals .Thank you for posting these interesting events x
  17. Does anyone know , please , how an mds in sixth form compares to a dada ? I know a few places let the children keep their mds into sixth form. - so does this cover accommodation too ? Thank you
  18. Oh thank you 2dancersmum . I wasn't going to post his results but I just wanted to dispel rumours. !!!
  19. My DS auditioned on Feb 8 th for ENB and has got into finals - I'm certain they would always take someone into finals if they wanted them -otherwise there would be no point holding the audition at all .
  20. I think they were out by 6 30pm , as was the friend who did it 2 weeks earlier . Her results came in 6 days !!
  21. Oh thank you , that is very helpful
