  1. Thank you. DD looking forward to it. She took class with them and really enjoyed it. She knows some from summer schools etc. I couldn't go yesterday as it was younger DD's last day of school and show. I watched the gala show last week though. It was fabulous!
  2. I hope your DD has enjoyed Paris Opèra Summer school vmmon. Are you travelling straight to London from there?
  3. My DD has just been accepted for full time at Tring so she's decided not to go to Summer school. Hopefully someone will get a call from the waiting list and I can get my money back to pay towards new uniform!
  4. Make sure it's strong though. My DD got through several top shop bags!
  5. Maybe suggest it to the PTFA?
  6. Ah well that's good to know for when I need the dc's to meet me in London!
  7. Would she have to change anywhere? I'm planning to get my two in year 10 and 11 (in September) to catch the train. They will have to change at Crewe. I'm sure they would be willing to help if your dd also had to change at Crewe? My younger dd has caught the train from Euston home (having been put on the train) and from school to Birmingham, via Crewe on her own, confidently.
  8. I think one year is was just for friends and family. Maybe now they will have it open every year as they are advertising the school much more and making every opportunity to raise much needed funds. The only problem you have is when it rains and not everyone can go in to watch. It gets a little tense at times ????????
  9. It isn't always open to the public although I'm sure they would never turn anyone away. This year is the first year I haven't been. It was always the highlight of my year being able to watch all of the children dancing when my DD was there. There is such a wonderful atmosphere. ...and seeing the progression through the years is incredible!!
  10. I'm looking forward to meeting the new DC going into year 10 especially. I hope that they all have a fabulous day
  11. Ah how lovely. Yes I'm of the same thinking that seeing Michaela may impact positively. That ballet has bit just one face. See you before then but will be nice to see you there too!
  12. Chauffeurmummy, Midas is a great scheme for young dancers and had, when my DD did it, lots of RBS JA's and Elmhurst associates doing it. It was great for strength and conditioning and also (the thing I love about the Hammond too) allowed the children to have a go at things that they would never get chance to try in a normal ballet class; There were children of different standards, all with their own talents. go for it. MTB is also fabulous. Try them all. Your young dancer will find what is right for them, right now.
  13. One thing I wish i'd known is that one or two classes per week with the right teacher is worth a hundred classes with the wrong one...
  14. They go all round the country. I was at the Hippodrome when they were filming this time. We were far more excited about being in the lift with Celine Gittens!
  15. My two wear the same (or should I say, have the same, as older one doesn't wear hers). They probably streamlined it all when Stardust took over.
  16. Make sure you are only looking at the Dancers uniform. The tracksuit is the same but Drama's wear joggers as well.
  17. Having a singer and a dancer there always makes it complicated for me though. I have to decide who to watch or watch half and half!
  18. On no...I go to them all. Get to see my DD dance
  19. Thanks for getting us back on topic
