    Anyone seen this? https://t.co/7dsGGMXiSO Sharon Stone took pics of Swan Lake and tweeted it. Matt Bourne's response was perfect which was to thank her for going but said she was naughty for taking pics. I do have an issue with people taking photos during a performance but wonder whether the publicity of the ballet to a wider audience outweighs the negatives? Thoughts anyone?

    This masterclass was today. DD said it's by far one of the best masterclasses she's done. Very challenging and thoroughly enjoyable. Thoroughly recommended

    We missed her ballet exam for the finals. Told her this morning. She's a little disappointed but said stoically 'well, the competition is tough and the other girls were better than me'. She's my hero.

    You're welcome 😂 I'll have to tell my DD in the morning she didn't get through. Bit sad about it as it would have been an amazing opp but I'm sure she will be fine. Does anyone know if previous years' dancers will always make the cut? DD was auditioning in the same group as that amazing girl who was Posy in Ballet Shoes last year. Massive congrats to those who got through. Commiserations to those who didn't.

    Oh and I specifically asked about the suggested Dec date as I wanted to book my hols. They reassured me Monday.

    They called me yesterday about the masterclass. They said results were supposed to be yesterday but will be Monday now.

    I remember being at secondary school with a girl who used to darn her pointe shoes before registration and during break times. This was years ago now. Do people still darn their pointe shoes?

    It's a competition thing. Nylon ones look shiny... I actually emailed the organisers about it last year and this was the response 'the Organiser who has advised that they prefer nylon lycra as it looks better under the lights, but would suggest a different colour than navy. If her other leotard is a prettier colour then the Organiser has suggested that she should wear that.'
