  1. Still available. Will sell for £20 per pair, incl of p&p
  2. Great news. Well done. Is that from a wait list? I am hearing quite a lot of people being offered which is really good news. Asking for a friend as they're not on this forum: 1. Is it 6 days or 5? 2. What time usually is reg in the morning on the Monday? Many thanks
  3. Thanks for sharing. I love the Northern. Their collabs with CBeebies have brought ballet to the masses and are so enjoyable to watch. Well done Northern!
  4. Hmm interesting. My one is still little and i hope I don't have to cross that bridge any time soon. I recently went to a parenting webinar 😂 (I know, I know) but found that it was quite useful. Is this a hill you are prepared to die on? If not, you have registered your disapproval and disappointment strongly and leave her to work it out. She's old enough to make those decisions and is it something that you will let affect your relationship? I don't know how I would react if my children started smoking but I would hope that i won't let it affect my relationship I've built up with them over the years. Sorry, not very helpful. Good luck, it sounds super stressful x
  5. Also, my tuppence, why not book yourself a virtual session with a reputable dance teacher from here to give to you another perspective. I know that there are plenty of people who will be able to see what you are able to do on screen and advise you. Well done for reaching out- that can't be easy to do x
  6. Hiya is the red Grishko still available please? If so, can you please DM me a pic? Many thanks
  7. Ohhh. Belt. Sorry I thought that meant raw elastic 😳 thanks for clarifying!
  8. SMB is fantastic. Your DD is lucky to have been accepted. She will be dancing with like minded, extremely talented children and will be pushed to perform their very best. The feedback teachers give are spot on. They get a big thumbs up from me.
  9. Oooh, any pics? Never seen one of these before
  10. Brand new in bag Never worn Bloch Aspiration pointe shoes Size 4C RRP £49 £25 inc postage. More than one pair available From smoke and pet free home
  11. Well done. Please have a glass of wine or a bottle and just don't think about it again. You've done grand x Maybe you can do something really nice with him next weekend, like film and popcorn and mummy cuddles x
  12. If there's ever a sign that a child's had enough, it's this. Withdraw him from class. It might not be dance that's the issue but something as simple as wanting a weekend to watch some rubbish TV and just be a kid and go out and kick a ball with his mates. It doesn't sound like continuing until half term is an option. Sorry to be so forceful about this; I see your dilemma and understand how you're feeling but if there is one thing that I have learnt from being a parent, is that they remember all the times they were miserable and won't let you forget for years to come Big hugs to you both x
  13. If your child is miserable, then leave. Their childhood is so short as it is, you don't want them to remember how miserable they were!
  14. First position black character skirt Blue ribbons 22" waist, 22" length Excellent condition, bought before first lockdown for exams, worn once now doesn't fit 🙄 £15 Inc postage
  15. Well done to all those with yeses, good luck to those with WL and sorry to those with no's. It's a tough old slog and we're just not in the financial position to keep throwing money at applications. That said, some schools don't charge and others have reduced fee. It's a shame that ballet is so expensive for so many.
  16. I once made a boo boo on the form and put in the wrong age. They picked that up right away and emailed to check. So I think they're likely to check if they are in doubt. Also in answer to another question, you want to apply for another week, that's another application and fee you need to make and pay...
  17. It's hard not to be disheartened by the no's. It's nice to hear of success stories but we really have resigned ourselves to a no really just means that and not a 'not yet'. It saddens me that ballet remains such an expensive pursuit, constant application fees which are simply unaffordable for very many families.
  18. Hong Kong- Those who had places 2020 were offered a guaranteed place for 2021 but have been informed that the places cannot be carried forward two years. They've offered free application fees to those who apply in 2022... Not sure whether they've simply offered the same for those who have already applied
  19. This absolutely. A good teacher will always try to support you and your dd and not hold them back because they want to keep hold of talent in the studios. Be honest and that will go a long way. We were there once. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere. Not looked back and wished we'd done it earlier
