I've told my one to assume it's a no. It's so competitive and only a few spaces. No expectations mean no disappointment. Dd is happy tho. Said it was a good class.

Only one ballet group in under 10s were placed at South East. Pretty sure they made it harder this year. Only one 7-8 ballet qualified for finals. Out of goodness knows how many!

£145 for juniors and intermediates. £195 for advanced. £150 per couple for Pas DD. £25 per dancer for ensemble. Thought finals were amazing. Standard was very high

Best of luck. Kinda sucks for the juniors when there were only 15 dancing and 10 got through but we're looking forward to watching the finals. We are armed with Colin caterpillars

Got to love the way all England divides everyone. It's a tough comp and adjudication is difficult to predict. My one was told she'd never get anywhere with the music she chose to dance to and then got placed 2nd at one qualifier. I guess just take it as dance experience

It's the all England regionals at the mo. South East had a lot of groups clashing with the auditions. Tough call which one to choose. We were lucky we didn't have that but dd went and injured herself!

There were 29 girls in DD audition today. Hope it went well today. Apparently one girl was taken ill during the audition. Hope it wasn't your DD x

To give an idea of competition, in 2017-8 there were 1074 applicants and only 156 spaces.

Good to know. Dd is not at all happy with the improv she did last year so that's a relief she doesn't have to do that again!

Having said last year my DD would not audition this year, we are back. I tried to tell her not to but she wanted to so here we go again!

Have the London results come out yet? Mine auditioned on 10/6; they said 2-3 weeks for results. I didn't want to make a nuisance of myself emailing to ask when they would be out.
