    I agree, the standard of dancing was excellent. It was quite emotional seeing my dd up on stage dancing her ballet solo . I am so proud of her . There was plenty of amazing talent dancing at the finals and the gala was a fitting celebration of this.

    Hi yes my dd was at RBS Upper School on Saturday. Then ENBS afterwards . It’s been a tough weekend

    I watched the ballet final at the Lowry on Friday evening. It was a very enjoyable evening. We truly have some beautiful young dancers coming through . Definitely one to watch when it’s broadcast on TV ( I think they said April?)

    Congratulations ArucariaBallerina , good luck with funding. Perhaps contact your local Rotary Club, they can sometimes offer a little bit of help. ( it’s definitely worth a try)

    Can’t quite believe I’m typing this , My dd has finals for upper school . I’m so very happy for her . We just didn’t expect this.

    The programme made me want to poke my eyes out it was so awful😂 apart from young Andrew who danced with grace and such joy . If Cheryl has been in “the Royal Ballet “ then so have I !!! ( well I’ve been inside White Lodge so that must count surely 😂 ) ha ha I will not be tuning in next week .

    I have just noticed that ENB upper school finals is the same date as RBS upper school finals !! Has this happened in previous years ? What would happen if you had the enviable position of getting finals for both ?!? Would you be expected to choose one over the other?? Totally theoretical question but could happen to a very gifted dancer .

    Letters are out for upper school finals from the 28th November audition. It’s a yes for my dd for finals . She is over the moon .

    My daughter has had this Bloch bag for a few years and really likes it.     Aaaah yes , don’t wear purple. I’d forgotten about Miss Lewis’s strong dislike of the colour. 😁

    Hi dancertaxi, my daughter auditioned by dvd a couple of years ago. She had to send a dvd of approximately 4 mins long. We included some set exercises from her current grade ( all centre work) and a short solo that she had at the time . ... ( my dd got offered a place) good luck and smile 😀 . If you are worried what to include just give Miss Lewis a call, she would be very happy to help. 😀

    My dd has a place on Elmhurst Senior Summer school 😀 she’s over the moon .

    Thanks everyone , I think I need to have a chat with them to clarify . I'm not against dd doubling up on lessons ie doing intermediate classes along side adv1 but I think taking the exam is of no purpose to dd and just extra expense for us!

    Thanks Pups_mum . I will talk to the newer school to seek clarification. My dd is quite used to different ballet styles and different requirements. I just wanted to double check that intermediate ISTD is equivalent to the RAD intermediate. I guess all will be made clear when I speak to her and there is always a chance that my other half has misunderstood lol ?

    That's what I thought Loulou , but i wonder if my dd would feel demoralised after all the hard work she has put in to take her ISTD exam only to to in effect take the same grade again and not progress to the next level. I know I would feel a bit cheated if that was me.
